Oh right. So had Allardyce just been in charge of recruitment, and my mum been in charge of tactics, we'd have seen those games out?BWFC_Insane wrote:
I'm not even sure he taught them owt. He just gradually introduced better players.

I remember chucking away a 2-1 win away right at the death at West Brom, Sam had been here about 3 years at that point. Even then we has a habit of giving leads away.Bruce Rioja wrote:Oh right. Sure he made us more reailient and no doubt added a lot of know how. But signing players like Okocha and Djorkaeff capable of keeping the ball in the oppositions half sure helped.....

Aye, no use sh**ting in our own garden and then saying "who's bloody well done that?!" Leading up to a game and after they have crossed the white line I'd prefer if we actually got behind the team as moaning and whinging doesn't motivate anyone.TANGODANCER wrote:I've said this before. I tend to watch all the Championship games in the football league show. One thing is very clear; there are some pretty decent teams out there and some good football being played. It's certainly no walk in the park for anybody, as the topsy-turvy results show. There's still time to turn it all around and we have most of the players to do it. Keep calling your own players losers really helps boost morale. Being fed up and disappointed is one thing, but keep shitting on your own from a great height helps nothing or nobody. Unless we believe we can do it, why bother? I still do believe we can and I'll keep doing that. I get the feeling you've never played much football.Peter Thompson wrote:Not a chance with this current bunch of losers....we have a squad of mentally weak players.

I find it difficult to believe that you will cheer and be positive at the game due to all the bleating, whining and moaning that you do here.Peter Thompson wrote:TD - You couldn't be further from the truth if you tried, but carry on....I'm sure my personal comments do not affect the teams morale !TANGODANCER wrote: I get the feeling you've never played much football.
The players are mentally weak and are used to losing, they lack that winning mentality, which is possibly down to Coyle possibly not, time will tell - but I suspect almost every BWFC fan yesterday knew that Huddersfield would equalize because IMO as a combined group of players they are weak, which is why we can't keep holding on to leads and this is in the championship !

PT was deeply unhappy and dissatisfied with Bolton when Allardyce was leading us to top 8 finishes.......

PT joined the forum in June 2006 and Allardyce left in April 2007, a few weeks before the team reached its most recent top eight spot. Surely he wasn't moaning on about Allardyce's previous achievements as soon as he joined?BWFC_Insane wrote:PT was deeply unhappy and dissatisfied with Bolton when Allardyce was leading us to top 8 finishes.......

Every time I quote you she comes up again. Brilliant.
Google autocorrect saved searches for 'Ann'= 'Anna Kielbasinska' and 'Anne Hathaway's rack'.
Google probably think I'm a pervert, but it's OK, because it's a tax-dodging bastard.

if BWFCi says he was - then he was - at least until BWFCi changes his mind...Little Green Man wrote:PT joined the forum in June 2006 and Allardyce left in April 2007, a few weeks before the team reached its most recent top eight spot. I just took it from tango's post about him not playing football.Bruce Rioja wrote:Has Peter ever claimed that he has?jaffka wrote:I find it difficult to believe that you will cheer and be positive at the game due to all the bleating, whining and moaning that you do here.Peter Thompson wrote:TD - You couldn't be further from the truth if you tried, but carry on....I'm sure my personal comments do not affect the teams morale !TANGODANCER wrote: I get the feeling you've never played much football.

In any case he now has a chance to let us know either way, although I do suspect he will only be on here again following another 'sh*te' performance.

Re: quick pole
That was an assumption on my part and he discredited it, so fair enough. Our topic was team spirit and winning mentality. I think we agreed to disagree.jaffka wrote:I just took it from tango's post about him not playing football.Bruce Rioja wrote:Has Peter ever claimed that he has?jaffka wrote:I find it difficult to believe that you will cheer and be positive at the game due to all the bleating, whining and moaning that you do here.Peter Thompson wrote:TD - You couldn't be further from the truth if you tried, but carry on....I'm sure my personal comments do not affect the teams morale !TANGODANCER wrote: I get the feeling you've never played much football.

I'm sure i read a quote somewhere direct from the (Dougie) horse's mouth, where he said that 'my teams do not give away leads' and we've feckin done it nearly every game since then !Jakerbeef wrote:The trouble is that we've statistically given up the most points from winning positions this season, out of all the teams in the Championship. (Not pulling that stat out of my arse, though I'll dig he article out if needs be)
If we were able to defend and hold onto a lead we would in fact be doing much better, probably plain-sailing actually.
They could conceiveably be a little stronger mentally...
