Having his nuts off might help with the cats too, as in the cats will feel less threatened because he'll smell less domineering, but even so I find that cats and dogs generally just tolerate each other rather than get on in a matey fashion.Gooner Girl wrote:Well that's my hope really, that the big spending of Chelsea, City etc backfires on them in some way and then we are laughing. LLS - Paddy seems to be settling in, his recall is still rubbish if he sees other people, dogs etc but I can walk him round our local woods off lead with no major worries, the cats still hate him which is a bit of an issue that I'm not entirely sure how to solve though![]()
He's gonna be having his balls chopped off in a few weeks time which might help calm him a bit.
And Man City and Chelsea are on a collision course with the fair play rules, whereas Arsenal will sail them. I read somewhere that financial penalties will be imposed to police the fair play rules which may or may not curb the excesses immediately, but nevertheless I think Arsenal will benefit in the long run.

Both good points re the dog and the fair play rules. Fingers crossed in both cases.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Having his nuts off might help with the cats too, as in the cats will feel less threatened because he'll smell less domineering, but even so I find that cats and dogs generally just tolerate each other rather than get on in a matey fashion.Gooner Girl wrote:Well that's my hope really, that the big spending of Chelsea, City etc backfires on them in some way and then we are laughing. considering the title of this thread - arsenal are ahead against west brom...
but...
Former Arsenal and England defender Martin Keown on Final Score:
"When you see the Arsenal penalty decision from the side, there is no way it is a penalty. But, when you see it from the angle the referee saw it, you can see why the referee gave it against West Brom.
"Cazorla did make the most of Reid's challenge, it is not good to see. He has conned the referee and has gotten away with it."

i think referes should be allowed to reverse decisions after the game if proven wrong, thus changing the league table and ending all form of cheating in the game
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Don't think that works well.bwfcdan94 wrote:i think referes should be allowed to reverse decisions after the game if proven wrong, thus changing the league table and ending all form of cheating in the game
Team getting beat 1-0. Get a dodgy penalty, score, which gives them momentum and a lift, and then go onto win 3-1. Reversing out the penalty would still give them the win 2-1 - but not take away the impact that the momentum gave, allowing them to score a further two after the penalty...
If they're going to do anything about this, I think it needs to be on instant replay like they do at Cricket and Rugby.
Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
it would make one hell of a difference and you are presuming that being cheated does not give the opposite affect I.E lifts the players to come together against the injustice (which happens just as often as their heads dropping)Worthy4England wrote:Don't think that works well.bwfcdan94 wrote:i think referes should be allowed to reverse decisions after the game if proven wrong, thus changing the league table and ending all form of cheating in the game

I haven't seen anything about financial penalties?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:

While FFP only applies to UEFA competitions a the moment,,I thought that the only penalty for breach was exclusion from those competitions.
A fine for an overspend sounds odd.

If football's ever going to be considered "fair" again, that's the only way to go. That incident was blatant cheating of the highest order yet it was allowed. Happening far too often to be funny anymore.Worthy4England wrote: If they're going to do anything about this, I think it needs to be on instant replay like they do at Cricket and Rugby.

My thought exactly. I've been digging through newspapers trying to find where I'd read it. It was in the Times I think but haven't dug it up. It was a paraphrase from Platini, not a direct quote, but the context was pretty specific about fines for nonconformity.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:I haven't seen anything about financial penalties?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:

if we were awarded a financial penalty - can we let Petrov deal with it rather than Eagles?

But surely we'd want to miss our financial penalties, in which case Eagles should take it.thebish wrote:mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:I haven't seen anything about financial penalties?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
Seems as good a place as any.
Listened to 5live last night and the atmos at Valley Parade took me right back to the good old days.
Great result for Bradford (the only sports club I would allow in Yorkshire if I ran the world) and a real showing up of an Arsenal first team XI that just wasn't prepared to get stuck in.
Wenger out!

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.
