Really? I honestly think that it's so unpredictable because of how poor the teams are across 1 to 24.TANGODANCER wrote:I've said this before. Whichever three teams go up this season are coming straight back down in my opinion. The gap in quality is massive between our division and the Premier League.
I've lost count of the amount of teams that have done one of the following:
- Received a throw and tried to pass it back to the throw in taker and the ball go out of play
- The defender try and clear the ball and end up slicing it and it go out of play
- A basic pass that wasn't within 15 yards of any player and roll out of play
- General dribbling the ball running in the direction of the dugout and run the ball out of play
The last one I've seen Chris Eagles do four or five times, and he's been one of the better players in the Championship this season!

Re: quick pole
Now apparently we have let go off 21 points due to giving away leads this season, you can't expect to win all games but those 21 points would have us sitting top of the league with 47 points
Re: quick pole
If the gap is that massive, how come none of the three relegated sides are even close to contention? We were one goal away from survival in the Premier League last season, and now we're 18th in the Championship.Gail Platz wrote:Really? I've begun wondering myself, Bobo. It is not easy to be so consistent over a long period. He would have to be one of the great WUMs of all time. With all the talk of Warthog and Commie, I began to wonder whether a new and better Pigsfoot had returned.bobo the clown wrote:I've been unsure up to now, but at last it's clear ... this IS all a big piss take.

I think that stat shows a lack of belief amongst the players. Compare that stat to Man United. Before the City game, if games were over after the first goal, United would have been second bottom in the league. However, their players have a massive amount of belief that we lack. We go ahead but bottle it whereas United go behind and get stronger. We need some of the belief they have.Relentless09 wrote:Now apparently we have let go off 21 points due to giving away leads this season, you can't expect to win all games but those 21 points would have us sitting top of the league with 47 points
Frustrating situation.

It's not just belief. Man Utd have top players who against a lot of sides can comfortably rescue a losing position. They have bags of goals in the side. We don't.SmokinFrazier wrote:I think that stat shows a lack of belief amongst the players. Compare that stat to Man United. Their quality is the reason that they shouldn't be coming from behind so often. They're a very good side and, like you said, they can score goals at will, so there's a big question about why they go behind so often. What isn't in question, however, is the teams belief that they can win any game from a losing position. We don't have the belief we can win games from a winning position.BWFC_Insane wrote:It's not just belief. Man Utd have top players who against a lot of sides can comfortably rescue a losing position. Statistics like that aren't random and coincidental, they tell you things about the intangible qualities that a squad possesses.
