I think the Chopper and Tommy Banks are still around, along with Bryan Edwards, Brian Birch and Doug Holden. If this is right the 110 pound team is down to fifty. RIP Dennis.

^ Tommy Banks did the half time draw at the Reebok just last Saturday. Looked steady on his feet if a little slow.

I was born too late to have any appreciation of these guy as footballers. Dennis Stevens was the outfitter over the way and Ray Parry was the Newsagent by the Town Hall. In fact, didn't the club get Dennis Stevens to make the Wembley suits a time or two?
Still, I did have the absolute pleasure of training with Ralph Gubbins some years ago. RIP Dennis.

Well, he has to be over 80 and has probably shrunk. People were generally smaller back then and a hard man didn't have to be that big - just able to knock wee wingers off the pitch down to the cinder track.
