January Transfers - Who would come ?
After todays woeful display, a few people have said DF should be given 2 Windows in order to sort the squad out. Bearing in mind that we are 100 + Million in debt, languishing mid-table and already have players that most say are not premiership quality. Who would come and how much can we afford ? Any money we can claw back from selling players like CYL, needs to be spent very wiesly. In this division we need players that are dedicated to the cause and will run through walls for the badge. Personally I can see us kicking about in this division (or lower) for at least the next 5 seasons, and then any playser that signs will qoute the old adage "a sleeping giant" and that really gets on my tits !
Its a shame as only a few years ago, we were actually in with a shout of 4th spot in the prem
(i know we were dreamin, but now its just a nightmare)

Re: January Transfers - Who would come ?
basically its hard to get players in january regardless
but
if we actually sign a few half decent players
and a striker who scores goals we can change our stars for the season quickly

Can you change those gifs? They're doing my head in. Out of date and too much scrolling to get past them

you can turn sigs off in your own settings - makes the pages much less irritating to read...Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Can you change those gifs? They're doing my head in. Out of date and too much scrolling to get past them

Thanks Bish
Re: January Transfers - Who would come ?
Loads of players would come if you paid them stupid money..Redknap said half QPR's players are paid twice what they are worth. I agree with that. Contracts aren't worth dime..so many clauses put in so the contract can be broken, transfer fees are ludicrous. I'd take all the agents outside and shoot the f*****g lot of them. Then clubs could talk direct to players and reach an agreement between both parties. Still doesn't mean anyone would want to come here though

Re: January Transfers - Who would come ?
I've always liked Fraizer Campbell. I remember going on loan to Hull a few years back and pretty much single handedly getting them promoted with 15 goals. Sunderland are letting him go in January for around 1.5 million. Still only 25 aswell.
If I remember right, didn't they want Davo in the summer?

Andy O'Brien's training with the Whites to keep fit. It's almost tempting.

Is he the one who was out for a year, returned, scored and was then given an England cap ?ChrisC wrote:I've always liked Fraizer Campbell. Like THAT would have happened if he'd been a Bolton player.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Signed a three-month contract with them in October; he becomes a free agent again in the middle of the transfer window.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Ipswich, I think?Bruce Rioja wrote:What's Reo Coker up to? Did he get fixed up?

Darren Bent on loan.
It ain't easy, Sleazy even, Deceiving those we, Believe in.
Re: January Transfers - Who would come ?
Indeed it was.. and I agree regarding the call up but a quality player if he has his fitness. Another player who come to mind is Danny Graham at Swansea. He seems to have been frozen out down there and did well in this league.bobo the clown wrote:Is he the one who was out for a year, returned, scored and was then given an England cap ?ChrisC wrote:I've always liked Fraizer Campbell. Re: January Transfers - Who would come ?
If Danny Graham is knocking about: hell fecking yes. As close to the all round front man we need. Finishing sometimes wayward, but compared to what we have now, he'd look lethal. Might make Marv happy too.
I really don't think Kev is the answer, though I still think he's the best we've got. Striker and centre half are 1 and 2 for sure.

is this thread a subtle and under-the-radar attempt to undermine Worthy's excellently prolific Better Class of Transfer Thread??
