Some people were moaning about the 'boring' football last week even though we won. Maybe the lads just wanted liven things up a bit. A nine goal thriller!

The manager needs to be judged on his efforts in the transfer window. At the minute Butterfield seems to be an okay signing but nothing to really get the club moving in the right direction. Our defence isn't really up to it and thats outlined so much by conceding 5 to the bottom of the league team. We need movement in the transfer window anything less and we're just hoping for our luck to change. Can't see the mentality changing until new players get brought in that are going to buy into what Dougies trying to do. Can't really blame conceding 5 to Freedman, players have to be accountable, as long as Dougies given them all the prepwork I think it'll come down to the players.

OK, let's get stuff in perspective.

Coyle fckd us up ... big time. More than I think even the most sceptic here realised.

He's gone now (is there anyone, other than himself, who thinks he wasn't given long enough ?).

He's been replaced. Anyone who thought that anyone would make an instant change is now sorely disappointed. Replaced by a guy few of us knew much about. He does seem to have got a bit of a grip ,,,, but no-where near enough.

The jury will be out on him, however unfair that may be, until we gain some (positive) consistency. He needs ship a few out 7 bring a few in & get the team fitter & better organised. More than anywhere we need a competent defence.

Far too soon to be giving up on him, but he needs to get something of a move on before fans ... already battered over 18 months of watching Cptn. Chaos run us to shite ... begin to lose faith.

Cerrtainly losing 5-4 to the poorest team in the league was not what the doctor ordered.

We've seen an improvement. I'm not sure where you get the you 'should see a steep hike in points'. I believe statistically that's not the case.

Anyhow what we want is gradual and sustainable improvement. Not a short term bounce followed by a loss of form after the honeymoon period.....

At the minute, he's one point behind Allardyce's first ten games in charge - we were still down in 12th in February of that year. I don't think he's the next Allardyce, but just saying like (Allardyce also lost game 11)

I am worried about the way we're still leaking goals. We were leaking too many under Coyle and we're leaking too many under Freedman - second leakiest away from home in the Division.

I think we'll have a better view after Jan - he's already said that he has a couple of players in mind.

Leaking 5 to Peterborough (regardless of the weather - it's the same for both sides) is sh*t whichever way you look at it.

We need a goalscorer or two - certainly one...but it's difficult to point to that being a problem yesterday when we got four. We've had more shots than any other Club on target by about 30 (most of 'em from Eagles). We're currently 8th on goals scored but 18th on goals conceded. We need to improve both, but defence most assuredly. That could be better defensive midfielders or better defenders.

I suspect it'll take more than one window to disperse the chaff...we shipped 77 goals last year which was our worst ever in the Prem, I think...
