Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I know we're going to sell/release players but there's not a huge amount of chips to play with.
Out-of-favour / not in Dougie's mind as far as I can make out who we might be able to get some cash for...
Petrov
Ricketts
Sordell
Pratley ( ? sounds like he's doing ok at the minute )
Players who we should make some money from if they were to leave...
Eagles
Ngog
LCY
Alonso/Mears (dunno, maybe, on reputation/clubs played for)
Mavies (injured)
Holden (injured)
Wheater (injured)

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Rumours floating around that Powell might be coming in from Manure.
Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I think what Dougie does this month will be crucial to the future of the club in the coming years. there are some players who need to go and some gaps that need filling but I feel we need to make are team alot stronger so that we gain promotion as if we do not acheive it this season then there is only one direction we are heading and it is not up.
I am pleasaed to hear though that DF is looking round the lower leagues and I feel this could be the way forward

The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I see little reason for your statement that it won't work. Good players in league 1 and 2 are often overlooked by larger clubs in favour of buying expensive ready made reputations. In the case of BWFC, the point is that there is little money available but we need specifically two types of players; hard man central defenders with attitude and non shot-shy goalscorers.
DF will, no doubt, have scrutinised the attitude of some of the current first team players and concluded that what is missing is a hunger to succeed. He will get that from certain types of lower league players who are feeling their chances of playing at a higher level are running out.[/quote]
we have two of them called wheater and Mills. if there was a hardometre then Mills would be better than Cahill in that sense in every way. however I am hearing that Stoke (Stuuuke) are looking to get rid of Andy Wilkinson so that would be great if we could get him have again heard lots about Guthrie coming back on a free
. as for your second point they are expensive (goalscorers) and any way we have Eagles, Ngog and Afobe so no worries there.

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
have seen him loads of times - I think he's ghanaian/dutch.. IIRC he joined his local team K.A.A. Gent at the age of five. He played for R.S.C. Anderlecht. Odjidja-Ofoe was part of the 2006–07 Anderlecht reserves team that won the reserves championship. In the 2007–08 season, he was promoted to the first team of Anderlecht. On 22 December 2007, Vadis scored his first goal on his full debut for RSCA against RAEC Mons.ChrisC wrote:Rumours that he is joining us tomorrow. I may be wrong, but I think that in January 2008, he was signed by Hamburger SV. On 9 January 2009, he left Hamburg and moved for 900.000 Euro to Club Brugge K.V. after one year in the Bundesliga.
I may be getting him mixed up with someone else, but I have a vague memory that Odjidja was called up to the Belgium national under 23 team for the 2008 Summer Olympics tournament. He participated in two games; a group stage win over hosts China and a 4–1 semi-final defeat against Nigeria. In November 2010, he applied for a Ghanaian passport and suggested that he could be interested in representing Ghana at internation football in the future.[3] On 17 November, he made his debut for Belgium in an international friendly versus Russia. He came on as a substitute for Eden Hazard in the 90th minute. He made his second appearance for Belgium in an UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying game against Azerbaijan in March 2011, again coming on as a substitute in the 90th minute, this to replace Steven Defour. He replaced Defour again in a Belgium game versus Kazakhstan in his third international outing replacing him in the 63rd minute. As a result of playing in the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying games, Odjidja is no longer eligible to play for Ghana.
we could call him QUO - and GtE would be like a pig-in-shit!

Quality Bish.
Out of 20, how would you score his corners, creativity, finishing and team work?
