He has good stats on fm for heading, tackling and stamina but poor passing and paceIggyTheDawgster wrote:http://www.lionofviennasuite.com/2013/1 ... fer-window

I know Football Manager can be wrong but there's no better indication for fans to see how good a player is. The scouting system FM has in place really does do a brilliant job. I think they have around 1000 scouts, so it's not 'just' a game. If I remember correctly, Everton signed a deal with Sports Interactive, who make FM, to have additional access to their scouting system.

Oracle says that Cravies deal is nearly done, couple of details to iron out
Pfffft.
Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
@TESmith_93 Davies to sign, Tollas due in, Gregus to sign. Then take it from there ...

He's the Slovakian midfielder we had on trial, Bish. Jan Gregus.

Phew. I thought it might be Dean Gregus who used to play in goal for Crewe in the late eighties/early nineties.HMX wrote:He's the Slovakian midfielder we had on trial, Bish. Jan Gregus.

Both references - without googling - evade me, I'm afraid

What does it say about Mark Davies then? You know, for a bit of a yard stick...

Davies is alright on FM. He does nothing exceptional but most of his stats are around 10-15. To give you a brief idea...Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Ok then. First touch: 15
Creativity: 16
Passing: 16
Technique: 15
Strength: 9
Jumping: 8
Heading: 5
Tackling: 11
I think he's rated about right. Nothing exceptional but good on the ball.

See, I'd give him decent marks for running with the ball. Maybe knock a few off for blind alleys mindSmokinFrazier wrote:Davies is alright on FM. All seems a bit arbitrary to me. Who awards these marks? How is it consistent as I assume it isn't one bloke dishing out the scores?
Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I think Nicko is a little bit in love with Dougie... (Nixon's posts in blue)
@reluctantnicko Craig Davies from Barnsley? Suggests a striker is leaving? Sordell,Afobe,NGog?
@simonmick1 Nobody has scored regularly. So it's up to them. Jersey available. Grab it. Or bug off.
@reluctantnicko Dougie a tracksuit manager is he? Improves young players,a bit like Moyesie?
@simonmick1 Clever player and smart coach. Had a bit about him all the way through.
@reluctantnicko U obviously know him well.Seems a thinker,not a shouter and bawler.Likes to play good football.Tactically shrewd.

Like everything else that is opinion based it's all subjective. As we can see on here all the time, no two folk see it the same.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:All seems a bit arbitrary to me. Who awards these marks? How is it consistent as I assume it isn't one bloke dishing out the scores?
