I noticed Craig Davies getting on the scoresheet a number of times last season for Barnsley and thought he looked like a very accomplished finisher. I wouldn't argue with this one for 300k, I reckon it'd be a good signing.

Whats actually up with Vaz Te at the minute? I was reading the mirror article on the signing of Chamakh and I noticed this Big Sam quote:

"The situation I have with Andy Carroll being injured and Modibo Maiga going to the African Cup of Nations, this moment as a striker we have Carlton Cole and that's it."

Has he forgotten Vaz Te exists or something? Is he Upton Parks very own Sordell?

All seems a bit arbitrary to me. Who awards these marks? How is it consistent as I assume it isn't one bloke dishing out the scores?

Like everything else that is opinion based it's all subjective. As we can see on here all the time, no two folk see it the same.

So more useful than feck all but not much use really.

I think the record stands for itself. When a big club like Everton forge a link, it's not because it's not much use. The number of players FM has spotted before anyone else is astounding.

To give you an example, a few years ago, there was a young Italian lad who was highly rated. He'd never played in Serie A or for the Italian youth side and was 17/18. FM rated him highly and he's now a 20 year old sitting on a 5 year contract at PSG, the only club with spending power to rival City. Football Manager scouted him literally years before he was widely known and he's obviously a quality player.

There are many examples of this. Like I said, it doesn't always work out but there's a reason why clubs, managers and scouts all use FM as a tool to help them find good players.

I think he said the Mark Davies story was old and Swansea are unlikely to want him at the moment while he is injured.

On Sordell, he said "Been a possible for a while. Wouldn't be a surprise at all..."

Either way I think Dougie would like to get rid of a few. Who knows who they will be but I'm not sure if we will be able to get rid of them. None of them are looking great at the moment and if they are still on big wages (compared to other Championship players), then it may not be an easy task.
