300k for a high scoring striker, great deal there for dougie. with holden and mavies back we could have a midfield of Eagles, Mavies, CYL, Holden & Spearing supporting him, very optimistic for the new year.

That's sounding more and more dubious though. Not dubious that he's a good'un, but dubious he'll come because the West Brummies are losing defenders at a rate of knots.

Great, but is he really better than Ngog? When he came to the Reebok with Barnsley he seemed to have the demeanor of someone who thinks their much better than they are, but then he did score I suppose.

He scored 4 goals in 19 minutes in one game, if n'gog tried that he'd be sent off halfway through

hes also got 7 goals in the 7 league games hes played for barnsley this season which is probably higher than n'gogs career total

Unbelievable. I can already hear the crash of reality quietly and inevitably rumbling in the distance towards this fantasy discussion.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Edit:

He's scored 9 goals in 22 appearances (1 as sub). 8 in the League (in 19 starts) and 1 in the cup (in 2 starts)

Interestingly, he's failed to score in 17 of those games 22 games.. Sounds like he's very inconsistent, though capable.

So just better than 1-in-4 if I read that right.

A useful, solid addition for a good low fee, but I'm worried the expectation level on here is already crushingly high.

Aye, but this seasons stats have been distorted somewhat after an unbeleivable capitulation by the Birmingham defence.. Fair play though, scoring 4 goals in a game takes some doing.

I'm worried that he's far too inconsistent at this level. He's not the "proven at this level" player that everyone bangs on about.

I think he probably has ability. But then all of our forwards do. It's just doing it regularly, where the problem lies. Will this change? I live in hope

The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1_sBHN2CAA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

A good video of the goals he scored a couple of seasons back. I know YouTube clips can be flattering but it's obvious he's a pretty good finisher. There are goals there which show an eye for goalscoring, at any level, and he seems to be composed. I highly doubt you could drop Sordell, Kevin Davies, Afobe and N'Gog down a few levels and get the same sort of finishing quality as that video shows.
