I thought Knight was alright and Ricketts struggled. Particularly first half. Sam was awful.TKIZ! wrote:Harry Genshaw wrote:Not long back. I thought a draw was a fair result. We still look way too vulnerable in the middle at the back. Ream's mistake was a shocker and Knight's early seasons form has deserted him. A real shame as Ricketts playerd well and Alonso was MotM for me.
Agree on Eagles. Another who's early season form has deserted him but pains me to see folk giving him dogs abuse. Surprised on Worthy's verdict of CYL. I thought he looked back to his best and was one of the few who came out of the 1st half with any credit.
Up front today was poor. We KNOW Shittu is good at the physical side but lacking on the floor or against pace. This wasn't the game therefore for SKD who won next to nowt against him. Ngog worked hard but sorry, for me he's another Petrov, I keep waiting for it all to click for him but it's just not going to is it?
Finally. The officials. Have we seen a worse set this season?
+1. I'm with the Genshaw

Lee was knackered. Eagles has been piss poor for weeks. Can't be arsed, in my view.boltonboris wrote:Was a strange game. Seen us play a lot worse. But it's clear (to me at least) that's there's not enough work being done at the training ground on the basics. The central midfielders are ok individually, but as a partnership, they're poor. No cohesion between them and always too far apart.
Players looking at one another when we get set piece like "well, who the fvcks taking this?".
The first sub was terrible. A real head scratcher. Eagles had spent the previous 10 minutes blowing out of his arse, leaving Alonso outrageously isolated and he wasted every pass. Lee looked dangerous and had the beating of their full back. I'd go as far as saying the momentum we lost after that sub, eventually cost us the win.
Surprised that we're still unfit, still can't defend the basics and still play the captain.
We had our most dangerous spell with the four strikers on the pitch.

A manager should be able to work with the squad he's got if he designed it.
But I think it's rare a manager comes into a club doing as badly as we are and turns it around without changing a significant number of the players.
It's not like we've had a bad few games or months. This has stretched back across seasons.

Bollocks. Lee wasn't knackered. There were 4/5 players blowing before him. But you actually knew that. You know you don't have to defend and justify every decision he makes, regardless of how good or bad it is.BWFC_Insane wrote:Lee was knackered. Eagles has been piss poor for weeks. It's not about defending a decision. I'd have taken Eagles and Kev Davies off first. In fact both could have gone off after half an hour. Bth were absolutely shite.boltonboris wrote:Bollocks. But lee was blowing and had completely faded out of the game at the point he was taken off.
I'd have still taken Eagles off.
Better off flog him whilst he's still got some value.

Exactly my thoughts, it's fecking basic common sense that our last three managers have failed to see.Caribbean White wrote:For me K Davies should have been replaced early on, as it was clear that Shittu had him in his pocket all game, it was crying out for someone with a bit of mobility to break them down, Davies is not that player, Freedman for me the jury is out, at the moment no great change from the Coyle days.
Danny Shit had Davies all game. Afobe doesn't do much other than run around but at least that would have worried Danny Shit rather than someone who doesn't do anything and can't run.
Performance was fecking abysmal and I'm really regretting buying tickets for Palace next week.
Hope my mood changes soon!

Re: Millwall @ The Reebok
Taking Lee off was a fecking joke of a substitution and goes to show we've got another one in charge that doesn't really know what he is doing.
These aren't one offs, the majority of the stadium looks round in bemusement sub after sub he makes.
I mean, with Megson despite me disagreeing with his subs you could at least see logic behind his decisions, but seriously Lee off instead of Eagles? Is he even watching the match?
As for Alonso getting MOTM, that's laughable. Embarrassing to watch and have him represent this club.

Give over. Apart from him resembling a frustrated striker when he wanders upfield sometimes, he was the best player on the park a lot of the time today.Gail Platz wrote:As for Alonso getting MOTM, that's laughable. Embarrassing to watch and have him represent this club.
Completely unconnected but just remembered it....but why on earth isn't Spearing taking all of our set pieces?! His delivery for the corner that was cleared off the line was absolutely superb, yet he didn't seem to fancy taking the next one!

If you count giving the ball away when miles out of position and doing nothing to recover the situation other than slowly prance back, plus getting megged and having rings run around him 'being our best player', then I worry what you think about our others!Leyther_Matt wrote:Give over.
