eeeeeew .... yuck. :vomit:
Given they are broadcasting the Scum vs Wanderers 2nd XI live this evening, how much of the highlights show do you think they'll devote to that match? I reckon a good 15 minutes at the start.

The show's got roughly an hour's worth of highlights to show, so we should get a decent mention I reckon. Also, it was an upset. ish.

If so it'll probably be mainly about Makem goal attempts, a controversial penalty and O'Neil's interview about how they should have wrapped it up last week.

No I was suggesting that in their infinite wisdom, ITV would choose to show extended highlights of the match they had just shown in full. We'll get a couple of minutes at the end.

Paper view:

Telegraph report:
"Sunderland were well beaten... [Bolton] rode their luck when they sat deep, but encouraged to attack by manager Dougie Freedman, they dominated the second half."

Guardian:
"Dougie Freedman's initially cautious approach paid off handsomely... Simon Mignolet had been a spectator before the interval but the Sunderland goalkeeper was soon called upon to block from Sordell, who was released through on goal by the increasingly influential Jay Spearing as Bolton wrested control of midfield... Lonergan emerged on top in an almost personal duel with Adam Johnson and Craig Gardner, who took it in turns to try to find a way past the Bolton goalkeeper from set pieces and open play. It proved a fruitless exercise. The main concern for Lonergan was the accuracy of the snowballs sent his way by home supporters, more than one of which found its target."

Mirror:
"Dougie Freedman's Championship visitors matched their Premier League rivals throughout the match and deserved their moment... Bolton out-passed Sunderland and desired the win more."

Independent:
"Some 279 fans had travelled from Bolton to the Stadium of Light. They will remember last night for a long time. Marvin Sordell, who, as his manager Dougie Freedman confirmed this month, is battling an obsession with Twitter, had scored one goal in the 11 months he had been at the Reebok Stadium before the first game against Sunderland. Now he has four, three against a Premier League side who did not look like one for long spells of both ties."

Really good write ups but I can't help but cringe when I see the bit in bold!

Go on then, elaborate.... given that the F.A. Cup is all we've got left to play for this season.

So are you pleased with the win then as your first team is already out of the cup?

Here's a chance for people to show a touch of class. BL3 is obviously a Bolton fan, just one who sees things differently. Nothing wrong with that, but a touch of post-win glee would help, mate.

I'm not the one that's been slagging the players off all season.

Could the players hear you shouting from your keyboard?

You were at the 'Bok'?! They were playing at the Stadium of Light. Didn't anyone tell you, or did they just let you sit there all night?
