Cheers Bruce. My opinions on him surfaced here shortly after this season's game at Birmingham.

I can't quite remember what it was that Andy Hessenthaler had to say about the company that King keeps?! It was around the time of the stolen BMW incident.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Cheers Bruce. My opinions on him surfaced here shortly after this season's game at Birmingham.
The guy is, basically, a piece of shit.

Nor can I, but I don't buy the "falling in with a bad lot" idea. His rap sheet includes some things you'd be hard pushed to blame on peer pressure.Bruce Rioja wrote:I can't quite remember what it was that Andy Hessenthaler had to say about the company that King keeps?!

I get the "fallen in with a bad lot" excuse quite often. I'm now & again able to respond with the "no, sorry, I think YOU are 'the bad lot' that others fall in with".Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Nor can I, but I don't buy the "falling in with a bad lot" idea. Always satisfying.
What an unpleasant tosser.
Not really the sort Eddie, or PG, would normally give house room to.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Agree with absolutely all of this. I'm disgusted if anyone in our organisation is looking twice at the git.bobo the clown wrote:I get the "fallen in with a bad lot" excuse quite often. Woah. Hessenthaler wasn't making any excuses for him, far from it in fact. I'll have to try and dig the interview out but as I recall the interviewer stated that he was surprised that a pro footballer would find himself embroiled in such a malarky, and Hessenthaler's retort was along the lines of "It wouldn't do if you saw the types that King surrounds himself with".bean wrote:Agree with absolutely all of this. I believe our pie chucking neighbours might be showing an interest due to defensive injuries?
Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Mile Jedinak piece in the Bolton News, along with Gregg Wylde back from his jaunt to Bury.
The source inside the club has said we are stalling on giving Marcos Alonso a new deal, I thought we'd offered one already?

Has this chancer even so much as kicked a ball for us yet? Last March we signed him.TKIZ! wrote:along with Gregg Wylde back from his jaunt to Bury.
Now I appreciate he'll have needed to increase his skill and ability somewhat to make the step up from what was one of the top teams in Scotland to a club at the wrong end of the English Championship but come on, there can't be THAT much of a difference.

I doubt Dougie will give Wylde a chance in the first team.
Form is temporary, class is permanent.

According to reports Bolton Wanderers are interested in Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates.
It is understood that Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman is eyeing the centre-back.
It is believed that the Scot is seeking a temporary deal for the Uruguayan international.
However, it seems Freedman will face competition from West Bromwich Albion and Wigan Athletic
