Ah, I thought there might be something like HMV holding it on trust for the charity or something.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:No, charities are treated the same as other unsecured creditors.
Oh dear.

It's reet though mummy. They said the other day when they announced they were going to start accepting gift tokens again that they're also now paying charity sales too.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Interesting. I wonder what the mechanism is that has enabled Deloitte to give that assurance.CrazyHorse wrote:It's reet though mummy. They said the other day when they announced they were going to start accepting gift tokens again that they're also now paying charity sales too.

The thought of 24 years worth of grieving and campaigning directed toward them I'd guess.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Interesting. Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
From what I remember from Equity, they could have done, but would have needed to keep the money separate, and probably in a separate account. Seems highly unlikely.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Ah, I thought there might be something like HMV holding it on trust for the charity or something.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:No, charities are treated the same as other unsecured creditors.

Does it? It seems like a damn good idea to me precisely because of what's happened.Prufrock wrote:From what I remember from Equity, they could have done, but would have needed to keep the money separate, and probably in a separate account. Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Actually I hadn't thought that the way a charity single is sold is a lot different to normal sales. Perhaps they did? I'm pretty sure they could have done, and as you say, would be a damn good idea.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Does it? Before that game I saw Liverpool at three to one to win and thought "Free money! They're bound to win!" This is why I don't gamble!
