Congratulations! Is this one or two machines, Bruce? The context sounds like one which I've never heard of.
combined unit - it does both - saves space - but if one's buggered they both are!!
Not necessarily so, Bish. The dryer packed up on the one that they wheeled out of here this morning, but it still served for years as a washing machine alone.

This new one only takes a cold water feed, which freaked me out until I thought about it.

...Life in general. Spring is on it's way. Peace and happiness are around the corner. We might stuff Watford on Saturday, and we might do it with some new faces in the side. And at any moment Apple might announce a new ipod thingymajig with a massive 100 terabytes of memory.

Edit - Ok, forget the last bit...

Bumped into an old friend from uni yesterday who I'd not seen in about three years. Unlikely in itself but considering he lives in Korea I was like WTF are you doing here. Great to see old faces again and reminisce about old times.

And also, my friend from the States may well be visiting in the summer! Lovely stuff.

Also, and not hoping to put mockers on it, but being one step closer to meeting Victoria Coren!

If (when!) we get on the programme, I'm sure we'll have some friends and family tickets...

I would kill for that opportunity.

So much so that I'll refrain from whinging about the "off-the-west-end" site now dropping me 3 mail's a day.

Ok, well I owe you one anyway, so you can consider yourself first in line should the opportunity arise.

(And it doesn't send three a day! A week, maybe. Just mark it as spam and you'll never see it again.)

It hasn't done before, but today I've had 3.

Also, today, I've unsubscribed.

Let's see if that works.

Got it today.

For those who give the slightest shit what we're on about - we've applied to be on a quiz show called 'Only Connect', hosted by Victoria Coren, and we have now got as far as a screen test audition.

We applied as 'The Darren Pratley Appreciation Society' but our captain, Mr Verbal-Kint has been advised that we may have to reconsider this.
