Really? I (personally) don't see it as any different from any other homosexual relationship, theoretically.Prufrock wrote:I'm pretty sure there is a lot of harm that can occur from a father-son sexual relationship...

Re: The Politics Thread

It seems that MP's are recruiting a new barista for their coffee.
Barista salary = £20,173
Police Officer salary = £19,000
Copper or Cuppa?

More importantly they get an interest free season ticket loan, but it doesn't mention which club!

Re: The Politics Thread
That £19,000 starting salary isn't for everyone though, is it? Like, if you've had relevant experience before (as a special constable, for instance) you start at £22k. I could be wrong but i think that's what I read.clapton is god wrote:

Re: The Politics Thread
Read an article that reeled of those benefits as though they were massive perks. They're all just widely accessible salary sacrifice schemes as far as I can tell.

care to explain what harm that is?Prufrock wrote:I'm pretty sure there is a lot of harm that can occur from a father-son sexual relationship...

Having paid contributions well over usual levels for 30 years. And I didn't retire at 52. I was 49 (note the absence of flicky fingers.)Bruce Rioja wrote:Ahh, but does the Barista get to retire at 52 on a full pension?clapton is god wrote: It seems that MP's are recruiting a new barista for their coffee.

Paying contributions over usual levels to get a pension over usual levels though, right?clapton is god wrote:Having paid contributions well over usual levels for 30 years. And I didn't retire at 52. Re: The Politics Thread
there are many wrinkles to be ironed out in this whole gay marriage/civil partnership thing..
My own church - the United Reformed Church allows Civil Partnerships to take place in our churches. Obviously - for the privilege of doing so - we pay cash to the Registrar.
for a PERMANENT license to hold weddings - it cost £120 (one-off once-only payment)
for a 3yr - ie TEMPORARY - license to hold Civil Partnerships - it can cost up to £8000 depending which town you are in.
hardly equal....

Well then I refer you to my original sentiment, without exaggeration for (alledgedly) humourous effect. Either they were talking bollocks, or this happened a long time ago.Bruce Rioja wrote:Now then.
