Because he hasn't earned it. When he made the substitutions, only goal difference was keeping us out of the bottom three.

Bogdan didn't need to make a save really.

Sky Sports News are reporting that Burnley had 2 shots on and 3 shots off. I'm not entirely sure that was the case. They were woeful on the day and all credit to Bolton for keeping them in their shells. For us to concede was somewhat of a cruel twist of fate seeing as it was pretty much their first attempt on goal.

At which point an indication of our position in the league would have been appropriate,

And of course when he made the substitutions it seemed for all the fans to see that he was taking off our most threatening player. There were far better candidates to take off from the looks of it. But i'm pretty sure that Freedman and his coaching staff know when De Ridder will start to tire and look less effective in the game.

I've just checked that.

It's bollocks.

Barnsley were losing at the time of the substitutions.

I figure its more an indication of where we were heading and not so much actual league position.

So he was making things up to prove his point?

He doesn't need to. Everyone knows we've been playing shit

Well I thought the game was fcking garbage until they scored. Then it forced Freedman to change it.

Luckily it worked. New defender chap looked good. Scouser was good. Both Davies did alright. That Ridder fella was rubbish as was Sordell.

Eagles was getting some serious abuse where I was in ESL which I thought was a bit harsh. He was trying to get things moving from what I could see but when he bottled a challenge near the line they went mental, even though we got the throw.

Anybody else get stuck outside cos the power went?

They were drawing not losing and just before he made the substitutions, they were winning and only goal difference was keeping us out of the bottom three. The crowd reaction was understandable and anyone trying to pretend, with the benefit of hindsight, that they knew we were going to go on and win the game is 'making things up'.

They were 2-1 down until 70 minutes. We made our subs on about the hour mark. Equalising on 66 mins. I'm not sure what your point is.

In the interest of consistency I think it's only fair that I point out that "a team that starts Kevin Davies is going nowhere".

feck no he's had 14 games and a transfer window ...

All he's done is reduce the 2 goal a game average conceded,
found a centre half fer nowt, signed someone who looks like he has the potential to do a job up front for 300K and get performances from squad players who weren't getting owt but table tennis practice and derision for a season and a bit for the last bloke....

feck him out now and get Mick McCarthy in...
Are we in League 2 yet - Three seasons and we'll be away to Chesham

Bodgan needs to sit back on the bench. Today he was better outfield than he was on his line. Get Lonergan in.

Knight had a good game for his standard.

De Ridder was our best player in the first half. He always shouted for and bullied his way to the ball, took players on and drove forward. Anyone who says he was shit clearly didn't fecking turn up today.

Eagles was awful - again. Tackled nearly everytime, hardly beat a man and hardly had a shot. Should have been taken off instead of De Ridder. Can't tackle and is scared of winning a header.

Spearing - Rubbish in first half but woke up for the second. Bad point being that all his passes are at 100mph and its hard to control those.

Chungy - Still lacking the push and shove needed to win in this league but bags of energy. Needs to have a shot every once in a while.

Craig Davies - Looks like striker we've been waiting for. One of the first basic things you learn as a striker is to push the defender the opposite way (like a springboard) before you run to have more space, and he's the only striker I've seen here for years to constantly do that. Very, very promising.
