Re: The six fingered Clarets
On FLS they mentioned the booing and 'chants of you don't know what you're doing'. To be honest I never heard that but I can understand the fans frustrations.
For a so called 'Lancashire Hot Pot' it was (for the first 45 anyway) a pretty luke warm affair.
I thought the De Ridder sub may have been for tiredness but of course we'll never know about fatigue or injuries until after the game.
Along with a 'I'm booing for reason X' cards perhaps the club can introduce 'I'm subbing him for reason X' cards and then we can all sit there fully informed.
What's football without a load of crazed, ill-informed shouting?
It does you good!

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Aye, it's much braver to just slag them off all season on an internet forum isn't it?BWFC_Insane wrote:these folk wouldn't say it to their faces on the street. They'd be too scared
Re: The six fingered Clarets
I think you'll find that it's all down to Dougie's tactical genius when we win and all down to the previous manager's crap signings when we lose.SmokinFrazier wrote:I'm glad Freedman changed it around but if people are going to give him praise for that, he also deserves criticism for the first 60 minutes. A decent side would have put four or five past us. We were atrocious, and I absolutely understand the frustration in the ground.

Just as repugnant as feeling that you're entitled to abuse other people on here.Sponge wrote:The notion that "paying your hard-earned" entitles you to abuse another human being is repugnant.

Exactly. Some of this lot would be better off going to the theatre if they want to watch a performance completely uninterrupted by anyone else's comments.coffeymagic wrote:What's football without a load of crazed, ill-informed shouting?

Re: The six fingered Clarets
There was a guy sat behind me, possibly in the upper tier who for the full 90 minutes launched a torrent of abuse down on to the pitch.
I couldn't make any of it out but the gist of it was plain enough.
He wasn't happy about something or other.
Good for him I say! What kind of a world are we living in when football fans are forced to sit and patiently consider their thoughts and opinions before blasting them out to 20,000 men, children and even women these days thank you very much sexual-equality!
There's so much pent up anger and frustration in the world these days that has to go somewhere yet, smoking's banned, drink-driving's found upon and shouting incoherently is seen as some kind of faux-pas.
We bottle so much up these days and it's only doing us harm.
So shout nonsense, tell Eagles he's a 'disgrace', shout at the back of Freedman's head and kick off in hospitality - it's what football was invented for and what our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers fought the Germans for.
The Bloke Behind Me said what he had to say and left the ground much better for the experience.
Either that or dropped down dead of a heart attack on the way home.

except - BL3 doesn't generally abuse people on here, does he? He repeats his fairly narrow view quite often - but I don't think he actually abuses people...BWFC_Insane wrote:It doesn't seem to stop you though.......BL3 wrote:Just as repugnant as feeling that you're entitled to abuse other people on here.Sponge wrote:The notion that "paying your hard-earned" entitles you to abuse another human being is repugnant.

I can see already that this is going to become a tedious debate into "what constitutes abuse" though. So you know.
We all get fractious on here. I'm not saying that BL3 is any worse. Just that he can't claim innocence either....

Plum.
The abuse on this forum is sickening. Plum.
Anyway, onto the match and away from the flirting, I thought it was a good decision at the time to bring two strikers on and a midfielder off. It was so blatantly obvious that Sordell on his own wasn't working, not Sordell's fault mind, it's just the link between him and the midfield i.e. Eagles, wasn't working as he's a greedy bastard with no idea of a pass in him.
As for boo's from the ESL, I didn't hear any it seemed to be the 'singing stand' in the north lower doing that. In our end it was just a lot of confused faces but I was indifferent as it was expected.
I thought Lee had his worst ever game in a Bolton shirt despite the assist for C Davies, Eagles was as poor as usual and De Ridder tried his best to replicate the form of Gael Kakuta.
Man of the match rightly so was Craig Dawson, really looking forward to him being 100% sharp, he looked a bit off pace at times as lack of playing time would demonstrate but you can see there's a decent player there.
