It's a "fruit". How would you like to be called a fruit? Admit it, you'd bawl like a whipped cur.

Better than being called a pear I guess.

Cos you don't get anything for a pear, not in this game.....

I also live in BL3 and I don't think fruit-based comparisons constitute real abuse round here.

BL3 goes from Little Lever to Luscious Lostock, via Daubhill. That's some variety.

Just reading in the BN how David Edgar says the Bolton fans were like a 12th man for the visitors.

This isn't a new thing though is it? Phil Neal, Charlie Wright, John McG- well you get the point have all felt the wrath of short tempered Superwhites.

However I do think for the majority the fans are more than patient with the club. Last season for instance, despite 'rumblings' the fans kept the faith and supported the club to the bitter end.

The fact we were let down despite this unfailing support surely has to excuse some of the outbursts by fans when yet again things aren't going well on the pitch.

Freedman should take credit for sending on SCD and SDN'G but if we'd have conceeded two goals like the ones we scored (and let's face it we have countless times) we'd have been cursing our luck rather than praising Dougie for his tactical nouce.

Everyone wants the club to do well, it's just that the season, already a write off is now teetering on catastrophe. It's got to the stage now where we can't afford to drop any points is it any wonder people are going bonkers.

Some people say I'm bonkers, I say brrrrrrrrrppppp!
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

I don't think it would have been bad luck if we'd lost. We played awfully and their fans will probably be cursing their luck that they lost. If we'd been down by three of four goals by 60 minutes, it wouldn't have been an unfair reflection on how bad we were.

I don't like fans booing, and I wouldn't do it myself, but the frustration was justified.

I read that and thought 'what a load of bollocks'. Unless, of course, I'm out of earshot from Dunce Corner, which I don't think I am, the only malcontent voices I heard were those raised at substitution time. :?

I can see already that this is going to become a tedious debate into "what constitutes abuse" though. So you know.

We all get fractious on here. I'm not saying that BL3 is any worse. Just that he can't claim innocence either....
I've looked up every single on of those so called abusive posts that you link!!! are they the worst????

is that the best you can offer???

 given that I have lost count how many times BL3 has been told to f-off and been called a c&unt - I think he has kept a fairly civil tongue in his head.

It makes sense to accuse BL3 of being a WUM and constantly spouting an endlessly repeated narrow (and now tedious) one-eyed view of the manager - but - come on - ABUSIVE??? you're having a laugh!!

he wasn't claiming innocence - YOU were claiming he abuses other posters.

Burnley had 2 shots on target. How do you come to the conclusion Burnley were unlucky? Even if they had scored the 2 on target they still wouldn't have won. We had 18 shots off and 8 on.

Do come off it mate. Their goal was just a bit fortunate that one of the smallest players in the league was the one jumping with Edgar (he also unsighted Bogdan doing it). If you think we played awfully against a team doing well and just out of the promotion places, what did you expect to happen; that they'd all lie down and let us walk all over them? We came from behind and took the points by pressing and scoring two goals. Not sure what you're expecting, instant miracles maybe? Anything we do will be done the hard way, that's how it is in this league.
