Not been out for three weeks since I had to stop half way round with a massive nose-bleed. Not having much luck the last six months!

Anyway, went out today, 5k in 24.27, which isn't great, but is a lot better than I was expecting given I've barely managed to get out the last four months.

Thats damn quick Pru! I just ran 2 miles tonight in a time i wouldn't care to share with anyone. But the main thing is i got out and did it. First run in several months. Need to build up to a park run now.

Welcome back to running GG!

I've not ran since last Thursday :( Tweaked my calf so been resting up as its the Winter Hill fell race on Sunday and I'm determined not to miss it. My marathon training just wont take off though - I'm desperate to get out and do a few long road sessions but if it's not snow it's bloody injury at the moment.

Aye, mad hailstone last night and this morning caused chaos on the roads. Injured my calf again. To be honest I know I'm not stretching enough and still neglecting core training. Starting to put that right though now..

After doing my mentoring at training tonight went out for a run. Same route as last week, felt faster but was 5 seconds slower. :( I know time isn't everything but its still a bit soul destroying to be slower! I'll never be fit enough for a park run at this rate, it's got that bad.

Ahh dont be too hard on yourself GG. Winter is just about getting out when you can and keeping a level of fitness. Speed will come when you get out a bit more and mix your sessions up a bit. Oh, and it's impossible not to be fit enough for a park run!

5k in 24.04. It's city London though, which means constantly stopping for traffic, waiting for green men and trying to avoid wankers walking at two miles per hour four abreast! Plus out of city London and up that bastard hill at Crouch End. I'd like to do a flat, open 5k to see where I'm at at the moment, but can't see it any time soon.

Is that top- whack? :)

I've kept my running up when I can - usually 5k at least 3 times a week. I'm not getting any faster though, 27.00 is comfortable for me.

Only training twice a week. Running Tuesday, football training Wednesdays. Really need to step it up and get another run in at weekend if I am going to see much progress.

This thing is ridiculous! I overtook a cyclist going up it yesterday, and two others who'd got off to push!

No doubt you'd still leave Davo trailing in your wake...

I think so, they're pretty early though I believe. 9am? You're young and fit, you could do both!
