Where the notion he didn't get any ball comes from is just beyond me!
Yeah but did he have the right sort of possession?

9-1 on shots to forest.

Doesn't matter who is on when no one is shooting as that shot is the only one we have had.

Davo 1 on 1 and you guessed it, still 1-0 to Forest.

Shite from kevin davies. 'A man with his ability should have finished that in his sleep.' Cannot believe freedman persists with him when there are better strikers on the bench. Predictably, a better striker comes on when we're losing. Losing interest in Freedman and his team.

The difference is, mate, Ferguson was able to structure 4-5-1. Freedman isn't. I didn't say 4-5-1 doesn't work, I said it doesn't work for us.

Craig Davies gets a shot in but to no effect. Time marches on and Blackstock replaces Sharp for the homers. Twenty to go. Can the solicitors, Davies, Davies and Davies, win a case? Free to them on our box edge and Alonso gets yellow number three. And....Reid?....and over.

We played four four two for more than long enough to see that didn't work for us either.

You said this only minutes earlier. I've made the more relevant bit bold to help you.

You bang on about structure but give no indication what you think it is. 4-5-1 is not unstructured. It can be played badly and it can be played well. Usually badly when the AM is ineffective, as Eagles and Mavies often are. Nowt to do with structure, more to do with inconsistent players and I'd add on this occasion an immobile striker.

Under Coyle, 4-5-1 was far better and I was always calling for us to play that. It was much better than 4-4-2, and I have no idea why Coyle insisted on playing 4-4-2 when it clearly didn't work. I think we'd have stayed up had we played 4-5-1 for most of last season and that's a huge failing of Coyle's.

Freedman's 4-5-1 is utterly ineffective though. They have different systems and it works differently. I wish 4-5-1 under Freedman was effective as it was under Coyle, but it simply isn't.

GOAL!

4-4-2 makes it 1-1.

Davo departs for N'gog and Bogdan has to head out for a throw. Corner them now and this doesn't sound like "quality" as Bogdan has to save again. Fifteen to go and a goal now could firE us up. COME ON WHITES...Forest clear then Dawson gives away a free after Craig Davies has a shot cleared. Forest hack it forward the N'gog..Craig Davis........1-1... :oyea:

This, it's clear Kevin Davies is finished and Dougie has dropped a fairly major bollock in selecting him.

Added to that our players again are inconsistent so whatever system you pick that inconsistency remains a problem.
