I still live in the realm of possibilities. There is still a chance. Win at home and draw away .. 4 points from 2 games to the end of the season. Will that not get us into the playoffs? I believe we can do it now that we are full strength and our strikers except KD now carrying a goal scoring threat.

2 points a game till the end of the season gives us another 30 points.

Which leaves us on 68 points.

So simple answer is, no that will not get us a play off place. Usual mark is iirc 75 points for 6th place.

Oh, be a devil and hope. We might win every game till season's end. Stranger things have happened. (Well, they must have...)

The record for consecutive wins in the Football League is 14 matches, 15 should do it.

Because he's not a natural goalscorer. Never has been. He rarely shoots when he should and rarely strikes the ball cleanly. If you don't believe me, just watch the next time you see him warm up. When they take pot shots at goal, take note of how many times he hits the ball cleanly and on target, its very rare.

I don't want to knock him too much however, since he's done a decent job for us over the years and scored some crucial goals. But I stand by my opinion that he's not a natural striker who knows how to maximise the opportunities he often finds himself in.
Hope is what keeps us going.

Dear Lord! The man's been pretty poor-to-shite for a few years, but 'decent job for us over the years'?! My word. He was the keystone in the best side most of us have ever seen. Cost nowt, and the spearhead for four straight top 8 finishes! 'Decent job'?! Who on earth did well then?
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Main difference in the two games - the home crowd. We had a few more as usual! Of course footy wise we played you off the park in both home and away games. Good luck in the post Coyle YEARS - fear for your future....
