I had a suspect mole removed from my shoulder a few weeks ago. I got the results today from the biopsy and I've got the all clear. Its not malignant. Result. :oyea:

Thanks Tango. This "episode" has really made me realise that there really is nothing more important than one's own health (sorry if that sounds a bit pompous). I'm so grateful that I still have mine.

None of you miserable buggers happy since last Thursday??

Today I'm happy that I'm not my work colleague's brother. Whilst cleaning his motorbike chain at weekend, he left the engine running.............he's now 2 fingers lighter. Ouch.

ouch indeed!!! how can you accidentally leave the engine running whilst cleaning the chain??? that's madness - and at a pretty high cost.. :(

seems he's not the only one though
please pray for me. i had an accident while cleaning my chain. and a major part of my right thumb has been amputated. i am in a lot of pain. please just keep your thoughts with me so i can be strong through this.

i cant type well at all. just please pray.

He didn't leave it on by accident. He had cleaned the chain and had decided to put it in gear and open the throttle while it was on the centre stand to enable to oil to work through the chain. Having spotted a bit he had missed, he then decided to try to spray the chain whilst moving. The chain caught the straw and pulled his hand into the rear sprocket which relieved him of the burden of two fingers.

I don't think he'll be doing that again.

Received a letter this morning confirming that I have a place on a Masters course in Social Policy at UCLan starting in September. Unfortunately its conditional on me doing a 2500 word essay on health policy. That's my Sunday sorted then.

Nope. I'll only enjoy the course if it's something I'm interested in. I've watched 2 friends do MBA's in the last 2 years and come close to a breakdown. Seeing as I also work in that area, its a bonus.

The bottom line is that I'm planning on working full time for another 12 years before I retire. In order to get my nice, shiny, public sector 'Gold Plated' pension to pay anything like enough, I need to climb up the greasy pole a little higher. To do that, I need a Masters.

Serious question, Bijou Bob. Does that mean the confirmation is conditional on the perceived quality of your essay or is it perhaps some strange method of finding whether you are really interested in the allocated 'slot'?

Anyway, congratulations and good luck.
