Re: Holden Back For Wears.
Lost Leopard you took the words out of my mouth.
Interesting factoid about Chris Kamara, his hobby - when he wasn't breaking ribs and puncturing lungs was to tell the WAGs of the day about their husband's infidelities on away trips.
What a nice man.
Anyway, how did Holden look when he came on last night?

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

Like he hadn't played for a long time. Did nothing wrong and seemed to just put himself in the right position in the system to make the odd interception / tackle and then pass it effectively to the nearest white shirt.

Probably as good as you can expect. I was quite pleased to see Eagles rested too. The lad needs it.

Re: Holden Back For Wears.
Eagles is 'ill' apparently.
But the rumours are that he's handed in a transfer request and is after a loan move ASAP as his family were verbally abused at Watford and he's been getting some fvckin' horrible treatment at the home games.

"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"

Loads of people round me in the ESL were saying he had handed in a transfer requestcoffeymagic wrote:Probably as good as you can expect. I was quite pleased to see Eagles rested too. The lad needs it.

Eagles was actually ill according to Dougie. Eagles rang in sick Monday.

Re: Holden Back For Wears.
I hope that's not true.
It'd be horrible if the fans 'drummed' anyone out of the club.
Eagles needs a good night's rest. A wee bit of R+R and a haircut.
That's all. Get him back on form.
Don't go Chris!

Re: Holden Back For Wears.
"Rang in sick on Monday" .... for a pro footballer with medical staff a-plenty, sounds a bit lame.ChrisC wrote:Loads of people round me in the ESL were saying he had handed in a transfer requestcoffeymagic wrote:Probably as good as you can expect. Maybe it was just a turn of phrase by DF, but not his best one.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

I'm not sure it would be a stretch to say he "Rang in sick" the day Owen got his P45.
