Oooh with Elephants on? Wearing Navy Shorts?
Good idea! If there's enough demand I'll have a look into knocking something up for the future.

There's demand. [Maybe a TW surmounted by an elephant in blue shorts.]DIPS wrote:Gary the Enfield wrote:Lost Leopard Spot wrote:http://www.badges.org.uk/hard_enamel.htmlLost Leopard Spot wrote:Only if they are proper enamel ones! On a grey day in Barnsley nothing would get the blood pumping quite like seeing some grown men in elephant shorts, bolton shirts, pin badges and maybe some tasteful TW flags draped over the shoulders.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.
Re: Away, Barnsley.
Three points
- We need to win this if we have any ambitions of P words.
- If we play with one forward it has to be N'gog. If two forwards then Craig Davies gets a start, LAW OF THE EX.
- Recently learned that women in Barnsley often say that, "Barnsley are at home," when it's *that* time. (This doesn't refer to any ex)

And isn't it a refreshing change to see so many football supporters all come out of the closet together?Armchair Wanderer wrote:On a grey day in Barnsley nothing would get the blood pumping quite like seeing some grown men in elephant shorts, bolton shirts, pin badges and maybe some tasteful TW flags draped over the shoulders.

Re: Away, Barnsley.
So, to the game then (irrespective of the sartorial tastes of the fans).
Barnsley, Crewe and Port Vale are names from yore that were always hard fought battles. Effectively, the mighty Bolton should win this, but then again what's certain these days?. I just hope we turn up for a battle and Mark Davies's tragedy doesn't affect morale. Will we go with a point man up front alone and try to keep it tight first half, or adopt our new-found attacking vigour and throw it at them from the off?

Re: Away, Barnsley.
I'd take a point now if it meant that we kept up our current home form. Seeing as there are no assurances in football we might as well go for a win. I'm gonna guess it'll be a 4-5-1 of sorts and us hoping to catch Barnsley on the break. If we manage to salvage a result like we did against Palace and Nottingham Forest I'd be more than happy. Barnsley might look like a bottom of the table outfit from the league point of view but they're on an impressive run of form so they'll be just as difficult as the likes of Watford were on their good run.
Re: Away, Barnsley.
Not too sure I agree with you there but if we are to keep up the promotion 'push' we're going to need to overturn our away form before April comes in (failing that a 100% home record should do it).Athers wrote:Three points

Re: Away, Barnsley.
According to sky Matt Mills is back in contention. I can't see him getting a starting berth but I can see him getting a spot on the bench.
I doubt we'll see Eagles and Mears back for Saturdays game but I'd imagine that Eagles at least will be back in contention for the Blackburn game with Mears taking a little longer to recover from the blood infection.

Re: Away, Barnsley.
As I have said before we need top win here if we are going to be in the play offs, personally I thin C. Davies needs to start as he is not going to be more fired up for a game this season than this one.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Away, Barnsley.
Agree with C Davies starting, he has earned it above Sordell. I know he can run round like a headless chicken when he comes on a s a late sub but he can cause so many more problems from the defence than Sordell. I think Eagles needs a massive rocket after the Derby game, he was totally lost and didn't seem interested at all. He drives me daft sometimes, he can be a match winner when he can be bothered but goes missing completely and is unbelievably lazy when hes not.

In which case it's up to Dougie to remind him what he's getting paid a lot of money every week for. Anybody can suffer a spell when they're not at their best, but not being bothered shouldn't even be an option.Madrigal wrote: I think Eagles needs a massive rocket after the Derby game, he was totally lost and didn't seem interested at all. He clearly is bothered; he just has a hair-cut.
He's a big girl when it comes to 50-50s, but the work-rate, effort, and ground covered are easily there.

A lovely day int' Barnsley sunshine. The elephant shorts might be getting an airing today

Re: Away, Barnsley.
Predict a 1-1. We are hard to beat currently, but without Mavies we struggle to find a rhythm and find it difficult to get behind defences. And we should know by now that there are no easy games in this division, even teams rooted at the bottom can beat us.
... of course I may just be talking bo11ocks
Re: Away, Barnsley.
I'd even think about potentially playing De Ridder there, he's played in a similar role of 'Support Striker/Attacking mid' for Southampton in the past

Never let the truth get in the way of 'good' print. Know for a fact that Flitcroft and his family have never supported Bolton. I've heard them say it enough times! Hahahaha
