I'm sure you get a tad more than that, Bruce.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just got my Poll Tax bill through. £100 a month to get my dustbins emptied, hopefully.
Anyway, if you like, for £100pm, I'll pick it up .... and you won't even need 4 types of bin !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Indeed. It baffles me how genuinely excited people were by it. Especially women.Bruce Rioja wrote:Is that it? You have some easily entertained colleagues, Sir.BWFC_Insane wrote:Feck it.mrkint wrote:dare i ask...what is this dancing pony advert?

You have been warned.
I have to admit though, it is a clever use of social media.
I suspect that middle age (20-40) year old women and teens is the target market for this.
One of them squealed, so loud, I could hear through my door, when she realised the hash tag embedded in the ad, was in fact trending on twitter.
Feck sake!

Well, there's a sodium about 20 yards from mine that emits a dim light onto the front lawn. Oh, and they gave me a little black container for putting spud peelings and the likes in which is perfect for storing golf balls in. That's about it though really.bobo the clown wrote:I'm sure you get a tad more than that, Bruce.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just got my Poll Tax bill through. £100 a month to get my dustbins emptied, hopefully.

Middle age starts about forty five mate, not twenty, and even then most of us postpone it for another ten years..BWFC_Insane wrote: I suspect that middle age (20-40) year old women and teens is the target market for this. Feck sake!

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Some time ago, checking into a hotel for a night in the surprisingly pleasant Calais the receptionist spoke to us, in English, in a real cod-French accent ... truly Arthur Boscombe stuff ('allo 'allo copper).Worthy4England wrote:French hotel TV channels. They're all in fcking French.

My son, then about 16 said "you can cut out the accent ... it's only 25 miles !"
Inappropriate maybe, but got a major guffaw.

That's some Brass Eye shit, right there. The most common view - from more than two-thirds of this group - was that childhood was now over by the age of 12.
