Accepting that we've no chance of getting to the play-offs and we are totally domed - could this possibly be similar to when Matt Clarke stepped in for Jussi? (or am I clutching at straws?)

Bogdan made a couple of slips (who doesn't) but kept us in a few games with great keeping. He's still young enough and improving. For me, it's good we have two decent keepers and I hope his injury spell is brief.si2008 wrote:lonergan is up to it commanded his area on Tuesday night for me no big deal boggers is outDave Sutton's barnet wrote:Bogdan out for 'two to three weeks' with groin strain, says Freedman (quoted on Twitter, where the first three responses are gleeful)

There's nothing between Bogdan and Lonergan in my opinion. Other than the one who isn't playing is always better than the one who is, as is the law of BWFC fans.
Bogdan ballsed up for one at Barnsley, but made a couple of top saves again.
Lonergan looked assured, but he nearly scored an OG by making a hash of a simple save from a looping header that ended up hitting the bar.

I have no strong opinion on which goalkeeper is better, but I have a strong opinion on people who react with glee when one is injured...

Bogdan isn't a bad keeper and I'm not why he's been so criticised by our fans. I really dislike how quickly our fans change their opinion on a player. A good performance twice in a row, and they're brilliant, or a couple of mistakes and they're terrible. Even the best players are capable of making mistakes or going on bad runs. Aside from Bogdan, Eagles, Ream, Knight, Mark Davies, Alonso, Kevin Davies, Sordell, Pratley, Alonso and Mears are some of the other players who have been slagged off one week and hailed as our saviours the next.

Nothing new. Jussi's had some stick, Kevin Nolan, Matt Taylor, Cohen, Elmander, Joey O'Brien etc. Nicky Hunt got plenty regularly. Klasnic got stick too when he wasn't scoring. Thus it will ever be.SmokinFrazier wrote:Bogdan isn't a bad keeper and I'm not why he's been so criticised by our fans. I really dislike how quickly our fans change their opinion on a player. Yep, you're right. It's quite disappointing with players like Eagles too, because their lack of form is made even worse by our fans hounding them. A few mistakes or a few bad games doesn't mean that a player has got nothing to offer us in the long term.TANGODANCER wrote:Nothing new. First time since Burnley away I've felt excited in the days leading up to a game.

Following on from out stats about coming from behind to win and losing after going ahead...

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
