Afternoon drinking is ok if you don't stop, it's the stopping that does the damage.

Well quite, unfortunately, I'm not yet ready to become an alcoholic in order to avoid a hangover.

Went for a couple after work on Friday night. In the toilets was a proper pissed up trampy looking bloke who could barely stand up straight. He was mumbling away in a really strong Scottish accent, but what I could make it was about particle physics. What I know in that field is....not a lot, but what he was saying sounded like he knew what he was on about. Odd. Maybe he'd read something in a paper. Maybe he'd been an academic and it had all gone to shit. Horrible, horrible life.

After Toastgate.

We've just had a 'surprise' visit from Plant and Vehicles. He's toured the car park and noted a couple of worn tyres (not illegal mind) and a few dirty cars. Apparently the filthiest was mine; mud encrusted was how he described it. When I pointed out that my car was private and not a company car, he said it didn't matter as Health and Safety was paramount throughout the organisation. When I asked what health and safety I was compromising by having a dirty car, he paused, surveyed us all portentiously, and declared "Having a dirty car shows a couldn't care less attitude. Having a couldn't care less attitude leads into bad habits like not checking for worn tyres. Having worn tyres leads to accidents, death, and armageddon" . I didn't say a word in response - my tyres, all four of them, are brand new, under a fortnight old, if he'd bothered to look #tyregate

Did the worn tyres belong to a clean car? Please say yes...

They were on a clean car, yes. :D
Or at least when he outed the worn tyres and dirty cars, the worn tyre car wasn't additionally categorised as being amongst the unwashed lot.

I'd have ensured his car got dirty before he left, or his shoes or something. Then gleefully pointed it out before ridiculing him mercilessly

Alternatively invest in some tribal spears like the ones these lot use.

Of course we do not have to dress like them or black up just get some spears and scare the sh*t out of him with some tribal Bolton song.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
