Sorry to hear about the accident and I'm with you on getting another one
Wish I had bothered with my bike licence.

Wish I had bothered with my bike licence.
My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!

Also glad to hear you're OK, but I'm also in the Bobo/AT camp on this.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Nice slippers Bish![]()

I'm sure we're all aware of friends, family or acquaintances that have had motorbike accidents resulting in varying levels of injury, or even death. What's clear to me is that there are two distinct 'camps' on this. You're either a biker and won't be put off getting back on a bike, or you're someone who just doesn't 'get it' and wonders what they're all about and doesn't understand why anyone would take the risk of getting on one in the first place.
Each to their own I suppose.

Hope is what keeps us going.

Aye, glad you're ok your Holiness
Got to agree with AH. Bikes aren't my thing, I remember my brother questioning my sexuality when I hung onto him for dear life in my only pillion ride. Bloomin death traps.
Thank your lucky stars, retain the fond memories and use the insurance to get something with sides on it!

Not too sure a bike with a sidecar is any safer.Harry Genshaw wrote:Aye, glad you're ok your Holiness![]()

Used to be a bloke called George worked with us years back. Quiet, innofensive almost reclusive in that he never told or listened to jokes and actually blushed if he heard one and never came out for a drink with the lads etc. One lunchtime I was in the car park looking at this magnificent, gleaming B.S.A. Road Rocket when up rolls George with his old-fashioned copper style helmet and Jesse James floor-sweeper mack. Never been more surprised when he pulled the bike off the stand, grinned and said "Nice, isn't she? Want a spin?" To cut a long tale short he blasted us along lanes and roads like a combination of Mike Hawthorn meets Evil Kneival and roared back to the carpark with me breathless and jelly-legged and making a valiant attempt to pretend it was all ace stuff. I never thought of him as wimpish again, never went for a "spin" again either. Bollox to that pillion stuff. Never judge a book by looking at the cover!Harry Genshaw wrote:Aye, glad you're ok your Holiness![]()

It divides opinion amongst those I know that've watched it, Tango. For me it was a lot like Dead Poet's Society set in West Yorkshire. Worth a watch just to see what you think, I'd say.TANGODANCER wrote:A film I never got around to seeing. Should I?Bruce Rioja wrote: Indeed. Like in History Boys.

It blithered my crin. It buttered no parsnips nor toasted no muffins. It was shite. Don't bother with it, it was a waste of time. I would have enjoyed washing up more.Bruce Rioja wrote:It divides opinion amongst those I know that've watched it, Tango. For me it was a lot like Dead Poet's Society set in West Yorkshire. When I was reaaaally young for whatever reason I loved motorbikes, until I got hit by one and fractured my skull and was put off them. Not the best logic but I was a kid so I'll let me off.Always hopeful wrote:Also glad to hear you're OK, but I'm also in the Bobo/AT camp on this.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Nice slippers Bish![]()
