Re: Today I'm happy about......
Thanks for the congrats all.
Boris, bet your wife isn't looking forward to leaving the little one and going back. Its good she's filling her days with fun things and good that you are being an understanding, nice husband. I live by the rule that you only get the childrens childhood to enjoy for a limited time. Housework is there forever. why waste time doing that when you could be spending more time with the kids?

Very similar outlooks you and I. I live by the rule that housework is a pain in the arse, why waste time doing that when you could be doing almost anything else?Gooner Girl wrote:Thanks for the congrats all.

don't think anyone would have on their gravestone 'I regret doing more house work'. Never ending battle in my house anyway with messy husband, 2 toddlers, dog, 2 cats, 3 chickens and 2 ducks... Its hard enough keeping on top of the washing.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Very similar outlooks you and I. Well, no wonder you struggle if you try & do all that whilst sitting on the washing pile !!Gooner Girl wrote:don't think anyone would have on their gravestone 'I regret doing more house work'. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm starting at a new place on the Tuesday after Easter.
It's a proper bona fide staff job, my first since 2001.

I'm not going to miss the wrapped in cotton wool OTT health & safety here. This morning we had an emergency stand down for safety briefing to warn us of the perils of snow. It's not even settling here as the steam from the cooling towers melts it into rain before it lands.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
presumably we're all happy that the govt. is boffing another big wodge of our hard-earned-hard-working-family-tax-money on the Olympic Stadium so that West Ham can generate massive income from filling it with East End morons and the lovely Sullivan & Gold can trouser an enormous wedge...
