Don't worry too much Mr burgundy, it's only for a month.gavlat2872 wrote:By the beard of zeus!!!!mrkint wrote:Dave Jones has confirmed the move.
One of the highlights of my season would of been to see SH get a run out before the season finished.
Kind of p*ssed on my chips.
He might be back fit for the play-offs! Not keen on this though.
I'm in a glass case of emotion right now.

WH Auden. That's an old face. As Alan Bennett once asked, "If that's what his face looks like, imagine his scrotum."

Re: Possible Loan deals
Makes a whole lot of sense although, being Stu, it does hurt a tad with the sentiment involved. However if we're to ever see Holden back at his best it is a move I feel he and the club have to make. He's obviously too good to be putting a regular shift in the reserves but at this stage of the season (and with his current fitness seemingly always in the balance) he is most definitely down in the pecking order behind Spearing and Pratley (who are in decent form, especially as a duo) and Medo.
My only hope is that we are in a strong bargaining position in terms of Holden's long term future and his latest contract as there's slim chance Spearing will be around next year and we'll need the bodies. The loan deal is a gamble sure but if it pays off it could stand us in great stead for next seasons promotion push.

Or even this season's in the unlikely event we make the playoffs. Still don't like it with him being at the end of his deal.

Yep, I agree here.bobo the clown wrote:No, no, no, no, no, no.Tals-biggest-fan wrote:reading on twitter that Holden is due to go out loan to Sheff Wed
He's either fit, or he isn't. If he isn't then stay & get fit. If he is then get him on the bench & into the rythym again. Fck, the idea of loaning him out him being injured again is awful.
If anything is done then get him signed on a new contract as part of that.
Fck I don't like that idea.
If Holden is fit, he should be coming off the bench regularly and getting game time for us, and I think he'd have something to offer in that role. He's not looked terrible when he's been on the pitch, just rusty and lacking stamina. If he's not fit though, why would we trust another manager - who couldn't care less about his long term fitness - to protect the player and make sure he doesn't do too much and get injured again? I have a bad feeling that he'll just get thrown in at the deep end and it'll set him back.
Horrible move. He should be with us, taking it slow but getting game time and returning to full fitness.

well - I think we can all guess that BWFCi won't then!SmokinFrazier wrote:Yep, I agree here.bobo the clown wrote:No, no, no, no, no, no.Tals-biggest-fan wrote:reading on twitter that Holden is due to go out loan to Sheff Wed

Re: Possible Loan deals
I don't really see loaning Holden out as being a great plan at this stage. He needs games I guess. But I'd have thought he should have gone earlier for that. Perhaps there wasn't an option then.thebish wrote:well - I think we can all guess that BWFCi won't then!SmokinFrazier wrote:Yep, I agree here.bobo the clown wrote:No, no, no, no, no, no.Tals-biggest-fan wrote:reading on twitter that Holden is due to go out loan to Sheff Wed

So sorry to disappoint Bish but it's not something I particuarly see the value of.
Having said that, full faith in Dougie, he knows what he's doing. So I'm confident it will work out for the best.

hmmm... seems to have been getting assists at Brum (he didn't score) - so presumably played out wide?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Possible Loan deals
Didn't he once score a hat-trick inside five minutes, or something?
POST-RESEARCH EDIT yep - well, inside 6m48s. A perfect hat-trick (left, right & head), while playing as a makeshift striker, beating Palace's previous fastest hat-trick record held by one D. Freedman... He can also play in midfield (central or right).
