you mean - you don't know?Hoboh wrote:'Fraid I'm not privy to that exactly, not specifics, but he is believed to have been actively recruiting terrorists in this country to fight against our armed forces or the civilian population.thebish wrote:Hoboh wrote:When will our goverment grow a pair and just stick that fecker on a plane, bollox to the crusty minging judges and human rights shithouses!
A governments first and overiding priority is to the defence and safety of the country, Qatada is a threat to that so he should be binned off then all the little human rights (well he'd never live near me would he) snobs can get back to dinner party chattering about the latest cause celeb!
in what way??
That'll do for me they can keep the rest quiet, I wouldn't, I'd release every bit of info held on him the second his plane took off!
if it is such an open and shut case - we've had him locked up for 10 years - YES - 10 years - without charge. why don't we simply put him on trial here?
any idea?

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Why do we have a country where someone who has a shady past can come here, claim asylum, get benefits for them & their family, spend their time pissing & moaning about this country & its culture and not to told to fck off ?
When he eventually is he then occupied, quite literally, a decade and multiple £millions of our money to demand not to go.
If we can't send him back to a country where he's suspected of terrorism then facilitate him getting on a plane to a place of his chosing.
It's like an unwanted house-guest eating you out of house & home while plotting against you.
Just fckg fck off.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

... Anyway, you should be helping your flock mourn the death of their saviour today & preparing for his resurrection after being sacrificed for the good of all humanity in it's struggle with evil, not on here winding people up.

I still have a little window of time to hear your answer!

am off to Dartmouth in a mo to lead the annual Good Friday procession finishing at the bandstand - then two hospital visits to two people who will probably both die of cancer in the next week or so... then I must think of summat to say on Sunday!

Bless you with the two terminal people, not something I'd envy.
My answer - & you may quote me "I don't care, just get the fckr out of this country."
If you're struggling for inspiration on Sunday, how about "Abu Hamsa, why I think we should leave him alone." That should get matters moving.

You don't have to love him to believe the court got it right when it upheld his appeal against deportation.bobo the clown wrote:you don't need to.

And the gumph about the cost of keeping him here - which I believe is quite high - but inevitable when you keep a man in prison or under house arrest for 22 hours a day. That's been his life for ten years. The state has imposed that on him, so it has to meet the costs.
I agree with this viewpoint from a national newspaper I suspect you rarely read...

I actually can't touch that rag with my bare hands. It burns my skin. As for reading it, I really don't want to risk my eye-sight.
Removing all the technical, extreme & fringe legal mumbo jumbo .... let's get to the core of this ... do you, or do you not think we should be rid of him from our shores ?
It's not complex ;
Yes, we should get him out ....... or
No, we should let him stay
You can answer in either order, I don't expect Bish will till you have Bill, but keep the answer simple & down to your opinion.
Keep, or lose.

I feel strongly we should get rid of him. I feel more strongly we shouldn't send people to places where they'll be tortured. Lesser of two evils.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Whilst I regard myself as something of a progressive liberal, I'll happily pull the bastards fingernails and charge up the car battery if it saves the life of s UK citizen.

I don't think it is that complicated. Given that you thought we were talking about someone else entirely - I'm not at all sure you know what/who you are talking about at all..bobo the clown wrote:I actually can't touch that rag with my bare hands. If the UK gov. know he is some kind of threat or has committed crimes here (as Hoboh alleges) - then they should put him on trial. For some reason they don't - you cannot blame him for the govt locking him up for 10yrs and it costing them to do that.
(I note that despite being asked - nobody has yet managed to put into words WHY he is such a threat to the UK.)
I would have put this in the good news thread because the Law won against the govt - which wanted to break the Law for political gain.
I don't want to live in a country where the govt can flout the law to deport a resident merely because they have staked their entire reputation on it. this whole Theresa May - and now Nick Clegg - "we will deport him" is just political grandstanding.
do you? Do you really want the govt to be able to break the law to make a political point whilst ruining the life of an individual?
also - this is the UK - how come we are locking someone up for 10yrs without charge?
also - the question as to whether a forum member WANTS him in our country is totally irrelevant... if that's the way the law worked - some kind of national poll about whether we wanted a particular person in the country - it would be utterly ludicrous.
