Indeed. If we win and Brighton don't, it starts to look really interesting and we'd have the momentum.leyther95 wrote: You never know though, Brighton lose Saturday and we win its all on just 1 point in it!

Really? How so? Two defeats and a fortunate win, all against relegation botherers?mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote: Indeed. If we win and Brighton don't, it starts to look really interesting and we'd have the momentum.

Re: WE are the one & only Wanderers
Wolves are second in the last 6 form guide!! That went unnoticed, I'd have to say!!
Bruce, I agree with you in parts, that the last 3 games have hardly inspired confidence, but another clean sheet and our 6th home win on the bounce is decent form.
Brighton on the other hand are down in 18th, with 6 points from 6 games. But they're unbeaten for a fair while at home and Leicester are doing shite at the moment.. 2nd bottom of the form table ahead of Blackburn...
Could do with that being a draw, but it's optomistic.
We just need to win and win and win, then the table will sort itself out.

Well it would be another win, and if you take into account the 8 games or so that form tables usually do, we'd be looking good.Bruce Rioja wrote:Really? How so? And Charlton was a freak result after starting as brightly as we did!

It's onky that I'm way the other side of dome-laden that stops me driving down & giving some slaps out.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: WE are the one & only Wanderers
Of course pessimism is the easy option.
With so many clubs chasing so few prizes, failure is almost assured before a ball is kicked. The safe option, dare I say the option of the broken man, is to take the pessimistic view. To stand out and believe, to shout in the face of odds stacked against us, to remain steadfast in one's belief until victory is won, or cruelly stolen away. That resolve indicates the true warriors in the battle.
Either that or the dosage needs upping!

Ah, so that's why you were persistent in your attempts to woo that girl at the Charlton game, then?Enoch wrote:Of course pessimism is the easy option.

Ah, but you haven't factored in tomorrow's humiliating home defeat though, have you?!mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Well it would be another win, and if you take into account the 8 games or so that form tables usually do, we'd be looking good.Bruce Rioja wrote:Really? No, because we were talking about the hypothetical possibility of a win!Bruce Rioja wrote:Ah, but you haven't factored in tomorrow's humiliating home defeat though, have you?!mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Well it would be another win, and if you take into account the 8 games or so that form tables usually do, we'd be looking good.Bruce Rioja wrote:Really? But you're not in the battle. Zat Knight is. You're just watching it with blind faith. (and in mummy's case - not seen us win in about 10 years - blind faith and a fair amount of jinx)mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:Enoch wrote:Of course pessimism is the easy option.

To be fair Zat has been saying for the past 2 and a half years "we're just about to turn it round"..........ultimate optimist.Worthy4England wrote:But you're not in the battle. Zat Knight is. A manoeuvre that he finally completed on Tuesday evening and finished off by twatting the ball into Lonegan's bottom right hand corner, the utterly shit, clueless, living-stealing 4ucknugget!boltonboris wrote:No... Zat has said for 2 and half years "I'm just about turning around"

Worse than that in the last minute his clearing header (Under no pressure) went straight to one of theirs who promptly crossed and was headed just wide with Lonergan stranded.Bruce Rioja wrote:A manoeuvre that he finally completed on Tuesday evening and finished off by twatting the ball into Lonegan's bottom right hand corner, the utterly shit, clueless, living-stealing 4ucknugget!boltonboris wrote:No... In the interest of fairness I don't think Zat has been close to being our worst player this season. In fact I think he's been ok. He just always seems to want to make a mistake. Which is very frustrating. He's certainly not worth whatever we're paying him. But probably, not as bad as is sometimes made out.
