We've managed 3 wins in 25 attempts at Ashton Gate. 1994, 1907 and 1904.Bruce Rioja wrote:A pal of mine that might have shown his face a time or two for the white-shirted heroes once said to me, a couple of days before a game at Trashton, "I fecking hate hate playing Bristol City away - we never get anything there". That Saturday we lost 4-1.
Dome and glome. 3-0 to Brizzle.

Dome certainly but I think with glom. All by a single goal.

Which just goes to prove that we can do it.Worthy4England wrote:We've managed 3 wins in 25 attempts at Ashton Gate. 1994, 1907 and 1904.

That'd be 2nd best then? My word, there's a lot of shite teams in this league if we're 2nd best...Worthy4England wrote:Away form. P20 W3 D7 L10.
22nd worst away form in the division.
We will have to alter that if we're to have any chance.

Living in Bristol these days I can't wait for this. Is there an away pub where the whites are heading?

Re: All off to Ashton Gate!
Looking forward to a weekend away here. Bristol Old Vic (where I used to work in the 90s) for Midsummer Nights Dream - production much praised - on Friday. A victory would be the first time I've seen us win at Ashton Gate ever (I've managed one scoreless draw and several defeats!). Seeing, and staying with, old mates, the male half of whom is a Rovers fan so he's very happy to anticipate a Wanderers win. He also has a cellar stuffed with brilliant wine he's mostly bought at vineyards in France, Italy, Sicily. I'm bringing him a Burgundy - he'll like!

I'm not travelling with them.. I'm going from Bromley Cross.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Nasty as in drunk or nasty as in........?boltonboris wrote:Coach load of lads coming out retirement for this jumping in at the Shamrock in LH. Might get a bit nasty...

But the Shamrock lads won't be going down there for a cup of tea and a round of applause.. Caps and Coffey will probably know most of 'em

We beat them in 1904. We'll do it again, in fact we'll go one better, numerology says so.
1+9+0+4=14=1+4=5
2+0+1+3=6

1+9+0+4=14=1+4=5

Troll and proud of it.

Where are we all mobbing up for this? Preferably a pub with a salad bowl.
