Western Sydney W@nderers

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

WSW are now top of the League....Booooooooooooooo!!!

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/201 ... eague-game" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Several investigations are underway after a man was caught on camera punching an unsuspecting Western Sydney Wanderers fan at last night's A-League match.

Fox Sports footage shows the man, who is wearing a blue hoodie, king-hitting a Wanderers supporter for no apparent reason before fighting with another man standing nearby during the Wanderers' 3-1 win over the Heart.
The attack was broadcast live across the country during the game's telecast.

WSW Head Coach Tony Popovic could so easily have been our first team coach.

I remember when the franchise was cobbled together just before the season started folk were being pretty unkind in the press. Guess he hasn't done a bad job.

2399, if it's not too much to ask, could you try and consolidate yer A-League thoughts to one of the sixteen billion A-League threads scattered around 'Other Footy'?

I knew there'd be a reason as to why they'd banned you from playing football at school.

You do not know what the wind was doing and also you must realise that if he would have connected with that 1/ a second earlier it would of probably gone in the top corner (he connected with the outside of the foot rather than the studs)

Are you saying that to score from 30 yards, you're supposed to strike the ball with your studs? :conf:

Having finished top of the 'Ladder' it's one of those quirky leagues where you then have to win the knock out bit too.

Western Sydney Wanderers v Brisbane Roar FC

A League Semi Final - 12 APRIL 7:30PM (local).

Aus sporting tradition.

Also when your ladder has fluctuated between 8-11 teams and you don't have pro-rel or any cup competitions there needs to be a bit more to play for.

I see the other Wanderers will face the Central Coast Mariners in Sunday's A-League grand final after a 2-0 victory over Brisbane Roar.

Up the Wanderers!

Already sold out.

Backing the Mariners because the other lot will be insufferable if they get the Double on their debut season.
