Great win. (Well I don't care if it was great or not TBH).

So.... now we have control over our own destiny. Which means that if we win all our remaining games, we get promoted.

That would actually have been true before today's game.wonka wrote:So.... now we have control over our own destiny. Which means that if we win all our remaining games, we get promoted.

Was only one incident, but that's what the commentator claimed.gavlat2872 wrote:but according to radio TD he got an ear bashing from Dawson. fair point on the penalty shout thoughBWFC_Insane wrote:And he won't get much if any credit for that from most. Plus sounds like he had a belting game. Commentators seemed to indicate he was our best on the day....

I didn't even need to see that to know I was £1 to the good in my fantasy bank account.
I claim my pint of Guinness, or at least I will next time I'm up.

This is getting silly, I don't think my nerves/fingernails are going to take much more of this??

pompey winning 2/1 at Brentford in 89th minute. Losing 3/2 in 90 th minute.......................
might of missed an earlier post or summat, & apologies if i have; but pompey winning with a minute left, brentford score two in a minute. Pompey also to come out of administration next week and will be docked 10 points, reducing them to a possible 29 point finish. They are certainly down, but all the pompey fans I know are relishing the prospect of climbing back up. I'm not a pompey fan, I live close and have been to quite a few matches over the years, but boy have they had it hard, and as such, I wish 'em all the best. It's proper football. Feck your utd's and Arsenal's etc, football on a budget.

If things go well in the next few games there will be a 2 legged semi-final, followed possibly by a final.TKIZ! wrote:This is getting silly, I don't think my nerves/fingernails are going to take much more of this??
If your fingers are bleeding now it'll be your knuckles by then.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

sad times for north west football.
fondly remember going to a 0-0 draw at their place a few years back as a lad. Claus Jensen hit the crossbar.
I remember a Rickett's goal at their place which I consider one of the best I've ever seen live. A kind of dinked 'golf' chip from the edge of the box. .........Happy days.

Much as I dislike him as a person; I remember a lot of people saying that about another single minded scottish manager about 25 years or so ago. I wonder how he turned out.........?

Well we just got rid of one of them too. It didn't turn out much good on that occasion.Il Pirate wrote:klasnicks wrote:Fair play to Dougie, i didn't think he'd be up to much and assumed he'd be an average at best manager, i wasn't even entertaining the idea of potentially being in a play-offs position in November. Nobody seems to have mentioned we are only 3 points behind Palace now so they are in the mix along with us, Brighton, Forest and Leicester.
Palace will be bricking it now.

Remember it too. It was the game before Ricketts played for England. 3rd round of the FA cup but I'm sure it was a night match for some reason. We were already about 3-1 up and everyone was bemused as to why Allardyce had fetched Ricketts on ahead of his call up when the game was already safe.Il Pirate wrote: I remember a Rickett's goal at their place which I consider one of the best I've ever seen live. I'll give you a bonus point though if you can remember who played in goal for us that game (without consulting anyone or anything

May the bridges I burn light your way
