I'm a better defender

as i said - i didn't see the detail of their goal - it was miles away - so anything that happened then doesn't count! 8)

did you have binoculars?? 8)
Just seen it on MOTD. Alonso sure got sold the dummy grand style. More worrying was the space they had to just nod it in unchallenged. Real soft goal.
As the commentator said: "beautiful cross but it wasn't great defending, was it?"

What Frazier (and Bruce) said. From the footage, Alonso is trying to pass out of defence, as he should. What the chundering arsebubble Knight does thereafter is beyond me, but I'm up in six hours to watch my daughter's U12 team and I'll be surprised if they ball-watch as amateurishly as our man Knight does there. I've not been his harshest critic but by God that's awful defending - and his fellow thirtysomething-on-a-two-year-Coyle-contract Ricketts did nowt to cover it either.

To be fair to Knight, and his defending there is pretty awful, Dawson is dragged across so he automatically pulls across to the near post, I suspect to
try and cut out the cross. It's very poor play.

However Ricketts can see the whole picture and in that situation should come across to cover his centre backs. I suppose he's worried about the man behind him, but still doesn't react to the danger.

I'd say the whole back four were pretty shit in that particular moment.

Still think if you give the ball away like that you are asking for huge trouble!

Good analysis thebish.

I'd like to throw a bit more praise Spearing's way. He was fully in control of that midfield form the off, on the end of everything and distributing nicely, chasing everything down and obviously hungry to win. I thought Medo played well but Spearing was tremendous and the subtraction when he came on was noticeable, and the difference for their goal.

Hope Jay-Jay is okay for the remaining games.
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.

Just seen a Nixon Tweet:

Spearing news not great. BWFC can recall Stuart. But that decision not taken yet - and won't be taken lightly.
