We'll win. Not close enought to the jaws of victory to start snatching defeat just yet.
As an aside, the whole Dawson question has been vexing me recently: now, he's been excellent, and if it were Ream who came back in I reckon we'd be fecked, but given how deep we've been defending, would Wheats back in be that bad?
And Worthy, we were mathematically safe before this weekend.

Pessimism, I laugh in your face.
If we win, you win another pound (making almost two thirds of a real guinness

If it's a draw, you're still ahead by one pound.
If we lose, I owe you nothing.
That's not a leopard!

Not sure about hardest, but arguably bigest (oh stop sniggering). Lose at Cardiff, we drop three points. Lose at Leicester, we drop six...Tals-biggest-fan wrote:Can see us going 5 in midfield and playing for the draw... hardest game out of the 4 remaining... If offered now, would we take a point?

Yes. 100%. Snap your hand off for a point now.boltonboris wrote:If offered now, would we take a point?
A point would keep us above Leicester. And at worst three points off Forest. We'd still be alive and kicking. And should any of Palace/Brighton/Forest feck up, more than alive and kicking.
If we lost it'd put Leicester above us and whilst they have a hard run in might be the boost they need for a late surge of form. It would probably mean needing to get something at Cardiff as well as winning our last two at home and still hoping that not one but two feck up to help us.
My feeling is a point would mean that two home wins MIGHT, MIGHT be enough. Lose and I think we'd definitely need more than that.
Re: Leicester away
different point...
whilst we might hypothetically accept a draw if offered in advance and didn't have to play the game..
I really hope we are not tempted to PLAY for the draw - we have to play to win, otherwise ruin awaits...

Re: Leicester away
I know what you're saying BUT I still don't think we're great away from home. We've scrapped out wins to Bristol and Barnsley recently. Probably our most convincing away performance of the season was at Blackburn, but we know the problems they've had since (and before).thebish wrote:different point...

I'm less than convinced that we're good enough to go and dominate at Leicester and win the game.
IMO it's a sit deep force them onto you and hit on the break type of game. Like we played away at Palace and got a 0-0 (except we had KD up front then....).
I don't mean camp in our own box for 90 minutes, but I think it's a game we look to "nick" rather than one we'll dominate in......

Nah, fvck that.. They've got some good players who can hurt us if we do that.. They're fragile and conceding soft goals to everybody. Have a go at them, get their fans on their back (they have been for weeks) and watch them fall apart at the seams.BWFC_Insane wrote:I know what you're saying BUT I still don't think we're great away from home. Re: Leicester away
Can actually feel my heart rate increasing reading this thread.
If we come out with a draw it will be a good result, in my opinion. Whatever happens, we have had a fantastic second half of the season, but avoid defeat and it could get even better.
I was interested to read this quote from DF in the BN, in amongst a lot of positives about our work ethic, training schedule, and Spearing's injury: "We might just run out of games but it’s close. "
Unusual thing to say, in my opinion, when we've just made it into the top six. Signs of doubt?
I hope not. Anyway, my views on Dougie are pretty well documented (I'm a massive fan), so he can say whatever the flip he feels like. Especially if we have more points at 10pm tomorrow than we do now.
