4-5-1 Away, classy. Strikers who can run on the bench to seal the deal in the last half hour, perfect.BWFC90 wrote:#BWFC team to face Leicester: Bogdan, Butterfield, Dawson, Knight, Alonso, Pratley, Medo, Vela, Eagles, Chung-Yong, Ngog
#BWFC subs: Lonergan, Ricketts, Ream, Hall, Eaves, C Davies, Sordell
BTW, domed!

Re: Leicester away
Leicester play 3 in midfield usually, so it's hardly a huge shock he's changed the system.
Butterfield is a surprise but I suspect Ricketts struggles with 3 games in a week since his last injury!

Never ceases to surprise, he said he'll use his full squad and does so.
Butterfield for Ricketts ?? Vela who's not featured for ages because of injury ??
Can't knock him cause it's working, But my usual " They'll give us a right good tonking !!!!" DOMED !!

I think we'll get beat 2-1 with a dodgy pen to them.

Re: Leicester away
With that team he gone for the point hoping to pinch 3 as long as we don't lose that's the main thing

Re: Leicester away
I'm not having that playing for a point nonsense.
He's picked the side he thinks has the best chance of winning the game, without compromising Saturday's chances.

Yep. Playing five in midfield is not going for a point. It's just being realistic about the oppositions strengths and counteracting them as best as you think possible!Enoch wrote:I'm not having that playing for a point nonsense.

Re: Leicester away
I'm hoping this is a thought out thing with Vela. Might just be saving Spearing for Saturday, but this game/away will be a tough test. One striker, three on the bench (one who's never played a full game) and Buttefield at right back? Doubt the goals will come from N'gog. I'll rely on Chungy and Eagles, but time will no doubt tell. As ever...

Re: Leicester away
Strange decision to go back to 4-5-1. I'd have played Davies and N'Gog up front to pressure their defence, and the decision to play Butterfield is odd, considering he's useless.
Still, let's hope for the best.

Doubt it - I'm thinking the internet rumour was rightTANGODANCER wrote:Might just be saving Spearing for Saturday

So time for Medo to step up and plug the gap, and D-Pratz to play as well as can be, and Vela to justify the faith
Speaking of which, Butterfield needs to ramp up his performance as well...
The sort of changes to the XI that might terrify me under the last manager... except of course he wouldn't have played one up top, would he?

When we have had three games a week, Ricketts has usually been given a rest somewhere.
Suspect he's not up to it.

A draw isn't a statement of intent to the teams around us. We will win....

I think we did against Crawley...until he subbed Davies (Mark) off for Davies (Kevin). You could hear the groan around the away endDave Sutton's barnet wrote:Doubt it - I'm thinking the internet rumour was rightTANGODANCER wrote:Might just be saving Spearing for Saturday![]()
