I've got more faith in Dougie sorting it out than I did under Coyle

Just noticing Scott Dann is plying his trade at the 'burnBWFC_Insane wrote:Essentially four new defenders needed next season, possibly 3 if Wheater returns and is ok.
But Alonso can't defend for toffee. Neither can Ricketts. And Knight usually has a mistake or two in him.
Definitely an area to work on.

Not really. But more pertinently does anyone fancy playing Blackpool with our one decent defender gone?ChrisC wrote:Anybody fancy playing Brighton or Watford if we get in the playoffs?

If we can't beat Blackpool with whoever is to replace Dawson then what chance do we have of beating any of the playoff contenders?BWFC_Insane wrote:Not really. Just a word before bed.. What an effort from Medo early doors from the corner!
Looks to be some player. Lets hope we can keep hold of him this summer.

Keep going guys. I always kept faith that you would make the playoffs despite what the experts here were saying.
Its now in our hands. Lets take it. Never yield. We have a manager who seems to be a winner and knows what he is doing. Fight on.

I used to do that. Well, not penalties cos I was shit at them. But for some reason I was better at free kicks with my left and often crossing as well.bobo the clown wrote:What's more, as someone ont' wireless pointed out, he ... a left footed plaeyer ... took the penalty with his right !!

From about 9 years old I played on the left, so became both footed really. I was never a world beater, but I made a shed load of assists. I stopped playing after a while as I had a habit of getting knocked unconscious in matchesboltonboris wrote:Maybe you were actually left footed?!Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:I used to do that. I think players should be pretty decent with either foot. I mean they are coached from an early age these days, so should be made to play with the other foot to make it second nature. Always amazes me when you get top Premiership players unable to use their left.

Re: Middlesbrough to the slaughter!
Mowbray's comments were baffling and stunk of bitterness and pressure. They're playing shite and he needs to shift the blame:
"I thought we deserved more than that and we needed a better official to referee the game because there were some bewildering decisions out there today. The penalty was one of them and the sending-off was certainly one of them.
"Bolton started the game well, which they always do but I thought we had a decent foothold in the game and then they got a goal through a cross which just drifted in, but that's the way our luck has been going at the minute.
"I thought we were the better team but the history books will show that we lost. They won't show that we conceded a lucky goal and then a penalty, which having seen half a dozen times was never a penalty kick, but that sums up the referee's performance."
