Today I'm happy about being off for a week. Pub lunch, anyone? Oh! You're working!

Today I'm happy with myself as this afternoon in AB Asda, Stu Francis walked past me no less than three times with an empty wine carrier tucked under his arm. Although it was tough, I manfully resisted the urge to point at his empty wine carrier and advise him that he'll need to get crushing some grapes. So proud.

After winning three consecutive promotions with Rochdale in Championship Manager I won the league and cup double in my forth season but did lose the League cup final to Citeh. Did I mention that I did the league double over the DMBs, beat them away in the F.A cup 1/4 final and at home in the league cup semi final as well, 4 wins out of 4. get in. I know its just a game but it made me happy to do so well. Guess I had better consider taking over the Superwhites now and see if I can repeat my success at Rochdale. Wish me luck.

First ray of sunlight and Mrs Tichmarsh gets the gardening twitches. Had to mow two lawns and scrub bird droppings off the wheelie bins. Done, so I'm safe for a week. Longer if it rains.

Oh, and had to climb on the extension roof to fix a detatched overflow pipe. Busy day (well, half then)

And because the weather's been bobbins I've not had to pay my gardener so far this year :) Well, until yesterday. Bastard's put it up too, by an inflation-busting 5.8% I've just calculated.

Where's the angry thread?

Tonight saw the final round of games of the season of the Delhi International Darts League. Going into this game, first in the table was Broken Arrows (my team) with 59 points and second in the table was Mixed Pickles (not my team) with 58 points. The fixture computer (a.k.a. Big Dave's pencil and paper) had thrown up an intriguing final match of the season. Broken Arrows v Mixed Pickles.

A sneaky 9-7 win for us.

Sampions.

Celebrated with Prosecco in pint pots. (Not always easy to get your sup of choice out here).

Happy Days!!!

then we did capsizing an rescues - fecking freeeeeeeeezing... BUT - discovered that wet suits work! genius inventions..

They are truly amazing things, but I've found that they tend work at their best when you're in the water. Once you get out and carry on kayaking, they dry out a bit and you can get cold. Also, if you don't get them wet in the first place, they can be sweaty, itchy and uncomfortable, particularly during warm ambients.

Dry-suits on the other hand. They'll take your kayaking to a whole new level of comfort. At least 3 times more expensive than wetsuits mind, but well worth the investment IMO.
Hope is what keeps us going.

I'm surprised he wasn't using a dry suit.

Kashmir. The Led Zep track that is, not the disputed area between India and Pakistan. Always brings a smile to my face and along with Sweet Home Alabama, chills me out no end. Gotta love my MP3 player.

It's my ring tone ... well, the first 16 seconds. I've been know to miss calls trying to hear as much of it as possible.
