Re: 2 Games to go
We'll need a point from the Cardiff game at least and then bag a few against the Seasiders which should be enough for 6th spot. Whatever happens with the next two games Brighton will be the team to beat in the Play-offs. They were comfortably the best footballing team I've seen at the 'Bok this season

Agreed, we were hanging on by the skin of our teeth... sorry controlling the game without the ball!

Re: 2 Games to go
exactly what I have been trying to say, give it to um the whole game let alone just the first half hour and they will crack like a egg on concrete.Jakerbeef wrote:Either way the best manner to approach the game would be for our lads to get stuck in and give them hellfire in the opening half hour; see if the promoted boys have the heart. Chance they might think, "season's over, f*ck this."BWFC_Insane wrote:Yep it's a very tough game. Probably if we could choose any game to play next week, Cardiff away would be bottom of most lists. Promotion and champions or not.Worthy4England wrote:Agree with this. At least Leicester play the day before, so we'll know what they've done by the time we ko.Willy_Wanderer wrote:I really don't understand this 'Cardiff have nothing to play for' mentality. They will be playing with confidence and celebrating being champions in front of their home crowd. This by all means will not be an easy game. Hopefully Watford can do it at Leicester for us to bring it home with a victory over Blackpool.
I don't see Cardiff easing up particularly. If I was them, there's a couple of teams in the play off places, I'd rather see in the Prem than us.
It can go either way a good side like Cardiff might relax and play good stuff and give us a runaround. Or they might slack off a little. Either way it will be incredibly hard to get a result which I'm fairly sure we will need.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: 2 Games to go
I rather fancy if we could 'give it to um' the whole game we'd be top of the league, or thereabouts. So I was trying to give the lads an accomplishable task.
But hey ho.
But hey ho.

We all expect little from Cardiff and a win over Pool.
Knowing our lot, we will beat Cardiff and lose to Pool. It's the Bolton way.

If it was the Bolton way, we'd lose both. Heavily.

Surely the Bolton way this season is to be leading in both, then concede two goals in the space of a minute and lose?boltonboris wrote:If it was the Bolton way, we'd lose both. Heavily.

Out of interest, how many times has this happened?BWFC_Insane wrote:Surely the Bolton way this season is to be leading in both, then concede two goals in the space of a minute and lose?boltonboris wrote:If it was the Bolton way, we'd lose both. Heavily.
Narrow defeat at Cardiff, win to nil against Blackpool, draw the home play-off leg 1-1, lose away.

Here's mine - 0v0 at Caerdydd, 1-0 against the blackest of pools, then no idea...
That's not a leopard!

We don't do losing heavily under Dougie. I think we have only ever lost a game by 1 goal in Dougies time here.boltonboris wrote:If it was the Bolton way, we'd lose both. Heavily.

Re: 2 Games to go
I don't know, but I think at one point we'd dropped more points from winning positions than any other team in the league (and by that I mean the full football league). May still be the case for all I know.....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Out of interest, how many times has this happened?BWFC_Insane wrote:Surely the Bolton way this season is to be leading in both, then concede two goals in the space of a minute and lose?boltonboris wrote:If it was the Bolton way, we'd lose both. I think it was over 30 points...

Re: 2 Games to go
That is a very good thing because it means we are very close to achieving something big, a small bit of tinkering could make those 1 goal defeat into draw and wallauh we would be unstoppable. Of course Dougie has to work out why we lost these games by a goal in order to find a solution.ChrisC wrote:We don't do losing heavily under Dougie. Touching distance, Leicester Two down at half time! If we can win tomorrow and anything less from Notts Forest and we are in the play offs.
