White Horse final and more
Wasn't sure on which sub-forum I should house this in, but here's some brilliant and previously unseen pictures of Wembley as it celebrates it's 90th birthday.
The first few include the White Horse final and a fantastic picture of the Bolton captain Joe Smith (last bit of ciggie in mouth) mingling with the crowd after the 1-0 win against Manchester City in 1926.

First one looks like scene from Beyond Thunderdome. Just short of Tina Turner stood on top of it.

That photo of the Royal Box....is it full of flowers or am I imagining it?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

You must have good eyes, Boris. I can see Joe, his hat and rosette - but I can't make out the cigarette.boltonboris wrote:Wasn't sure on which sub-forum I should house this in, but here's some brilliant and previously unseen pictures of Wembley as it celebrates it's 90th birthday.

Bish, did you really want to say that ??
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

No, as far as I can see but I don't have young eyes (there's something whitish in his mouth but could be a tooth). Nor can I see it anywhere else - I can see one fagless hand on the cup but....Lord Kangana wrote:In his mouth, no?
