It's not a click your fingers job. Takes time to re-structure the coaching organise the side, set the standards. By the time you've done that, well, you're virtually dead.

I'm not disputing that Redknapp is overhyped. Feck I'm saying what he's done at QPR is totally irresponsible management.

But to be fair, I think they were fecked when he came in, probably fecked long term as soon as they got rid of Warnock and chased survival with loadsa cash.

I think Arry is a symptom rather than a cause at QPR. He's exactly the sort of fly-by-night chancer a club like QPR would turn to in an almost impossible scenario.

They did and he did what you'd expect. Spend loads on fairly average players to just add to the problem.

I still think you could have stuck Mourinho in there and it was a massive ask to turn that ship around. And not just around, around in time to get 38 points or so.

Again, it all depends on what mission he was given when he was hired. I'm guessing he was not told to crash into the Championship as gently as possible. Knowing QPR, I'm guessing he was told that he should try to stay up at all costs. So while Redknapp certainly deserves criticism for the players he signed, especially Samba, it's not his job to be Fernandes' conscience. If I was a manager, I don't think I'd have the guts to say "No, don't give me £12.5 million for that player, it's not in the long term interests of this organization."
