SKD not going to Canada because he'll be away from his wife for a few weeks puts Tim Ream's situation into perspective.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

You aren't suggesting he'd sit in his hotel bedroom, scared to go out other than to a Poutine where he'd eat Cheese melted onto chips night after night, are you ?Armchair Wanderer wrote:SKD not going to Canada because he'll be away from his wife for a few weeks puts Tim Ream's situation into perspective.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It's not as if getting homesick would be a short run down to Watford. Poor bugger's probably down to his last few million. Hope he gets sorted.

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

He did not handle his transfer to Blackburn very well and struggled to settle.bobo the clown wrote:You aren't suggesting he'd sit in his hotel bedroom, scared to go out other than to a Poutine where he'd eat Cheese melted onto chips night after night, are you ?Armchair Wanderer wrote:SKD not going to Canada because he'll be away from his wife for a few weeks puts Tim Ream's situation into perspective.

Ahhh, but I have more recent experience of relocation than you. Chances are you will need to brush up on relocating skills before being of any useMontreal Wanderer wrote:

Re: SKD off to Canada...
Have we seen the last of SKD then? Can't see Dougie brining him on for 5 minutes on Saturday unless we're two or three up - and I can't see that neither.
Will he pick him in the squad? Will he do the half time draw/pie run?
Will we get chance to say goodbye to a club legend or is that it?
I support Dougle in his 'no sentiment in football' policy.

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

The BN the other night implied Davies wasn't expected to feature again this season. Can't remember the exact quote. Soz.coffeymagic wrote:Have we seen the last of SKD then? Can't see Dougie brining him on for 5 minutes on Saturday unless we're two or three up - and I can't see that neither.

We've certainly not missed him on the pitch. Cant see him being in the squad therefore.

So. Do we get to give the lad a send-off tomorrow then?

I hope he's big enough to .... but I have my doubts whether Emma will let him.Bruce Rioja wrote:So. Do we get to give the lad a send-off tomorrow then?
We'll see I guess.

Re: SKD off to Canada...
I know it's all over now for SKD; but he should be carried shoulder high around the pitch for a glorious send off, as thanks for all he's done for Bolton Wanderers.

Re: SKD off to Canada...
If he's picked tomorrow, then it should be on merit, not on sentiment.
It's too important for any of that bollocks.

I'd be surprised if Dougie has any sentimental attachment to Davo...
