Do not be surprised if another of our young stars, this one with first team experience, ends up at a south coast club shortly. Sorry can't say any more,as I'm already breaking a confidence.

He's committed to completing the U21 season so will leave after that. Good luck to him, oh and a reported 50% sell on fee

Do you get a sell-on fee if you've released a player?

Just a few but seen was/is seen by many as a big hope for the future, and was hoped/expected to play regularly this season but suffered a couple of injuries.

Riley seems likely .... a bot Joey O'Brien ish really. Who knows if he's going to make it as he's more or less permanently injured ?

Vela would be the other. Different matter altogether.

South Coast ..... mmmm. Brighton or Southampton. ....... or Bournmouth or Pompey.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Given the description I suspect it's Riley. Given Dougie is supermarket shopping for a right back, I can't say I'm that bothered.

Well, I see your point, and I don't know enough about Riley to disagree (although DF has said that Sainsbury was only invited for a trial). But there's something slightly saddening about losing a lad who's been at the club for 10 years despite the manager saying he wants to bring more Acad-lads through – especially in an area that already requires major reconstruction this summer.

Although of course it may have been against Dougie's wishes...

.... or it may not occur.

... or Dougie's taken a look & doesn't fancy the lad.

... or the offer is way better than we can do.

Reading the official bwfc twitter

Freedman "We will be signing two players by the end of this month regardless of what division we're in. We have plans in place."

He wants to be careful saying stuff like that. Bolton have a history here, especially where faxes are concerned.......

We also have plenty of history here about this time each year, when next year's ST's have gone on sale.
