Re: The Politics Thread
the only party to gain control of any new councils was Labour - they gained 2. the tories lost control of 10. UKIP gained no councils at all and don't control any local councils...
Re: The Politics Thread
having said that - I think it will be fun to see how UKIP succeed in being the tail that wags the Tory party... how much under threat will Cameron be now that the backbenchers are cacking their pants... I have heard rumour (and it will only be that for now) that some tories have now convinced themselves that their only chance of winning the next election is in a pact with UKIP... we all know Farage won't work with Cameron - so has anyone got the nerve to stand against him for the Tory leadership on a Con/UKIP pact ticket?
either way - we can expect Cameron to be talking tough on immigration and europe for a few weeks!

Re: The Politics Thread
It hasn't 'gone quiet on the Europhile/immigration front' at all. It'd have to have been a much discussed issue in the first place for it to have gone quiet. Even when you pipe up with your usual tedious bollocks it's still pretty quiet on the Europhile/immigration front.Hoboh wrote: Gone quiet on the Europhile/immigration front on here hasn't it?
You wouldn't have noticed that there are broader subjects being discussed on here, you being a single item bore, like Ukip.

Hoboh has a huge variety of subjects to discuss...
such as
Benefit claimants...
Islamic clerics...
Immigrants...
Scrotes...
Jumped up lefties...
Atom bombs, tear gas, baton rounds, heavy machine guns (and the necessity to use them all soon)...
Nannies and their State...
Asylum seekers...
Harriet Harper Persons...
Bolton Council...
Unions...
BWFC Insane...
Middle class lefties...
Foreigners...
And this list has barely scraped the barrel of Hoboh's wide-ranging and always erudite and witty postings...
Neither is he ever boring... I have a better laugh at his postings than anyone's and am always disappointed when I log on if Hoboh is not there, giving a new vent to his rich spleen... Great, great sense of humour... Brilliant satire...

Gone quiet on the Europhile/immigration front on here hasn't it? just waking up and smelling the coffee are we?![]()
Not a bad effort for a bunch of fruit cakes and loonies.
Are you trying to say that shows everyone agrees with you?
Question, which party got the biggest share of the vote in yesterday's election?

No I'm not saying everyone agrees with me, I'll leave that up to you. What I am saying is like the tone of your posts you just dismiss other views that don't match your socialist Nazi party's line of thinking.
If under the worst government in living memory (even worse than Blair/Browns) that's the best they can do they won't win a wooden spoon race!

Re: The Politics Thread
listened to Theresa (look at my shoes) May on t'radion this morning - and it was staggering the number of times she shoehorned the phrase "tackling welfare and immigration" into her answers... I think that might be the new tory slogan/strapline for a while to come...

Re: The Politics Thread
So just because UKIP got 25% of the vote (thereabouts) I don't understand why they are no longer a bunch of fruitcakes and closet racists.
I mean, honestly, even if every single person on the planet had voted for Adolf Hitler it still wouldn't have absolved anybody of being a wanker.

Re: The Politics Thread
Ordinarily I wouldn't have UKIP voters down as being fruitcakes, clowns and closet racists, especially on the say-so of ludicrously out-of-touch Ken Clarke, but then Hoboh pipes up on their behalf and the whole thing's up for discussion again.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:So just because UKIP got 25% of the vote (thereabouts) I don't understand why they are no longer a bunch of fruitcakes and closet racists.

Ken Clarke is ace, btw. So lets leave him out of this.
But seriously, The Tories will now be shitting it and will lurch to the right/anti-Europe in attempt to head off the fruitcakes of the UKIP. Genuinely, the world scares me. Its so self evident that UKIP are a bunch of time wasters that we shouldn't even be discussing them. I mean, really, what the f*ck?

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
