Red nose to finally retire?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

it'll just be that he's having a couple of weeks off for a hip replacement..

and - I've never understood the Moyes thing!

anyway - Radio five...

there is speculation this morning about that bloke leaving ManUnited, but it's just speculation - we don't know. So... let's interview someone else who doesn't know... that was interesting - so, basically, we don't know. Here's an idea - let's interview several more people who also don't know.....

We will find out before 2pm today. They would have to announce it to the stock exchange before first bell.

Chap here at work reckons that cos Utd are listed on the New York Stock Exchange they're bound by the rule that any major announcement that could affect the stock value must be announced to the NYSE first. They've got to keep stchum til it opens at half two today.

Mind he's a filthy red so he knows even less about it than I do.

And anyway, I'm not supposed to even be on the net in works time and folk here think I'm just sending a really long text but I'm secretly typing this on me phone instead.

Go on .... make the announcement ....

Sorry 8)

United have said he will be staying on as a Director. Can't see any big names taking over with Fergie sticking his whiskey nose in.

I fully expect the media to launch a campaign for Redknapp to replace him.

i really don't know why they'd go for Moyes...

I reckon it's Mourinho or one of the germans...

Thank god for that. Much as I dislike him and it sticks in my throat to say it he was a good manager and largely responsible for Man Utds success over the past decade or so. Hopefully with a different boss they will be a weaker team. Fingers crossed.

I was going to say it's been announced on the bbc website formally now but Chris has already beaten me to that too.

I do wonder if Fergie going is to coincide with Mourinho being available....

However I'm not sure Jose would fancy that gig with Fergie still around as Director looking over his shoulder......

You'd want to be the guy after the guy after Fergie I reckon.

Great manager but an absolute cock and still upsets me that he was ever knighted. Hopefully, they'll be a lot weaker for his absence
