Red nose to finally retire?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

It's sickening how fans of other clubs are saying "it's a sad day". No it fecking isn't.

Grow some balls and say what you really think. How delighted you are that the old bastud is going and how you hope the next appointment fecks them up for the next 3 decades.

It's football, it's meant to be tribal!

But didn't you just say earlier something about having a secret soft spot for Wigan? Where's the tribalism there?

figures of hate are essential to the tribalism you describe... losing the totemic figure of hate takes away some of the set-piece drama that has built up over the 30yrs of his managership.... i think, if people want to be, they have every right to say they are sad.

I'm not - but then I am not gleeful either - because we don't play in the the same pond as manU and probably never will in my lifetime - so it really makes no difference to me...

Hope not. I like Mourinho. Would be hard to like him managing that shite.

Sky sources saying Moyes is in pole position for the job.

Looking back over the season, this has been planned all year I reckon. Well proving united won the magical 20th title.

David Gill announced he will be leaving at the end of this season.
Fergie got his statue.
Moyes stalling on re-signing with Everton.

Maybe a coincidence, maybe not.

Fergie also know that the likes of City will only get better and better and the last thing he would want is to leave when United are in decline. It also looks like Mourinho is going back to Chelsea and we all know what happened last time Mourinho rocked up at Chelsea.

Mourinho is a cabaret act and it's "all about me" wherever he goes. He would grate. But he would continue the profile.

I don't get the Moyes love-in. Even the Everton fans aren't too enamoured. Plus he's never managed truly World Class players, nor sought to recruit them. The Stretford name will still attract big name players but Gollum wouldn't bring the kudos that Red-Nose has done.

It'd be a big mistake .... God, I hope it's right !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

No chance of Mourinho going to Manure IMO. He wont put up with Fergie sticking his nose in and United wont pay the 20 million compensation to release him from his Madrid contract.
