I thought you were having a laugh. I thought you'd made it up, but then everyone else seemed to be taking you seriously so I looked it up! There really is an organisation called Quick Quid. I'm fxcking astounded.ChrisC wrote:Currently negotiating with an Asian company and Quick Quid according to rumours.

Would morally object to Quick Quid (or any other 'pay day' loan company fo that matter.)
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,
Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Re: Club Rebranding
It's explicable, friend: there's an entire generation of people who have been brought up in an era of easy credit during an economic bubble, and now that wages are deflating in real terms while expenditure continues to ramp up, people are finding themselves running out of paypacket before they run out of week. So they get desperate, and where there is human desperation, there are other humans keen to make a fast buck.throwawayboltonian wrote:They're all part of this recent fad of pay-day loans that for some reason people inexplicably use.

I have wondered what happens when someone can't repay. Do they, you know, send the boys round?TKIZ! wrote:Feckin' parasites them companies. Re: Club Rebranding
If we do go with "Quick Quid" will they again decide its morally wrong to put it on the kids shirts as they did with 188 Bet? If they do, my little lad wont be happy as he wants a replica shirt just like the players wear. Surely if the club decides its morally wrong to put a sponser on a kids shirt as per the betting stuff, then surely its morally wrong to put it on a shirt full stop?????

Re: Club Rebranding
I was offered a contract to do some consultancy with one of the short term loan businesses .... to do with wanting to show they had trained their staff in business ethics (yes, I know). Now I don't draw many lines but that was one I felt able to decline.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
